https://www.patreon.com/heal2endThis month on Connecting the Dots, Ignacio is joined by Koja to discuss the incredible documentary, "Hollow Water." They discuss how one First Nations community organized to implement traditional healing approaches to address incest and child sexual abuse occurring on the reservation.
"Hollow Water documents the moving journey of one family, torn apart by years of abuse, who struggle to confront their past. 'Punishing people and telling them they needed to heal, didn’t make sense,' says one community counselor. Instead, Hollow Water chose to bring the offenders home to face justice in a community healing and sentencing circle. Based on traditional practices, this unique model is reuniting families and healing both victims and their offenders. This is a powerful tribute to one community’s ability to heal and change".

Connecting The Dots draws from seemingly distant points to expand our understanding of how “the invisible” shows up in everyday life and every level of society. With witty comments and much food for thought, the discussions encourage a path through shame and secrecy to connecting and healing.
