Scenic 1987 Asheville Hydraulic Elevator @ Haywood Park Promenade (Asheville, NC)
Here is one of several well known elevators here, located in the Promenade section of Haywood Park.
This is a rather basic but good Generic Elevator from the 1980's with EPCO Circleline. It's a very interesting scenic, offering a good view and the fixtures are in pretty good shape. I believe this is the only Hydro here in this building.

Okay, I was not expecting this at all! We got a nice, but rather pointless, elevator with a brand I have never even heard of before. I say pointless because they could have easily made room for a wheel chair lift instead of walling off the stairs portion and waste time and money for this cool gem, like they did for the middle part of this building. Wait, why am I complaining for? This thing is nice!
This elevator features Very Westbrook-ish Call Panels with the “In-Use” light, which is my favorite thing about this! The elevator itself has this old wood finish I’m starting to like seeing more and more and has a dual door. This also features two main panels for controlling the elevator, and with an odd mix of GAL JetPlus fixtures. The “top floor” side has the typical White Buttons, while the “bottom floor” side has Black Button! Oh yeah, the motor is fucking epic quality! Too bad the leveling for the top floor is pathetically uneven, with the elevator going higher than needed. If it wasn’t for that, this would be a top notch 10/10 of an elevator.

The Elevator still has its original Fixtures from when it was put in around 2000. Considering this mall was built in 1978, it probably replaced an Old Otis Elevator or something like that, but I'm not so entirely sure yet.
What's interesting about this Kone (Canton) is the choice of the Plain White GAL JetPlus Fixtures, which is rare for a Kone! Not only that, it has one of the stankiest motors ever! It's pretty cool and funny at the same time. It's hard to describe the sound, like it's a hybrid of a FogHorn and Didgeridoo Noises. I really like this lift, although the lifting is a bit jolty sometimes.

Welcome to Appalachian State University, a college that is a huge ass city and generally impossible to film every elevator here without coming back multiple times. I got a total of 11 elevators during my visit in August while helping a friend move into their dorm.
This is a pretty shitty Otis, which isn't too surprising. This elevator is an add on to a newer section of the Rankin Building.

Well, a little bit different from the other 2 Pairs. The Call Panels plus Overhead Arrow Laterns and Floor Indicators are different, yet the inside looks almost the same as the others. Floor indicator inside is a bit different and it also has a Schindler HT Chimes, which may mean these two are Schindler makes. Have no clue if that applies to the ones at Station 3 and 4...
Anyways, like the others the cabs are boring and these two are slower compared to the other 2 Pairs I’ve filmed.

While browsing NC Records, this place showed that there was a United States Elevator from 1998, indicating a Soft Touch. You know what I got instead, this FAKE BAD BullShit ClASSic crap!
As you can tell, I was pretty salty about this utterly pointless mod. This mod may likely be a few years old, which likely means they modded a 20 YEAR OLD elevator. Imagine modding something that isn't even that old...
I don't think they have any excuses to mod a Soft Touch unless it was worn out, but this building is never busy or full of people. So this is more than likely a Dumb, Pointless Mod.
Besides that, I hate this mod. Not only did it murder likely a perfectly fine Soft Touch, but it has no improvements. Mods are generally supposed to fix things right? Did this mod fix jack shit? No! In fact in an ironic sense since PTL VR2 is basically just fake MAD BS Classic, this elevator oddly fits the DeInnovation/ThyssenKrapp BAD Curse. I'm guessing it's on its original machinery because this thing is super slow af, so this mod didn't fix anything.
And like I said, PTL VR2 is just Knockoff BAD BullShit ClASSic, and we all know how much I LOVE MAD BS Classic Mods (if you can't tell sarcasm, I absolutely loathe MAD BS Classic Mods just as much as Innovation Universal Mods). I hate this mod as the fixtures are literally knockoffs of other things (even the Arrow Latern is a GAL Knockoff), but to be real, I'll still take a PTL VR2 mod over MAD BS Classic anyday.

While browsing NC Records, I stumbled upon info about there being a MontyKone here and decided to come out here and film it. I was expecting the typical Generic Cab with Innovation Universal, but nope. To my surprise, it's a Series 220, which is much better!
Though it's a basic 2 Story Elevator, it has a rather strange quirk. For some reason when going up, it takes a few seconds to start up for some reason. Don't know what is causing that, but probably from limited use. The Cab itself is in fairly good condition for being an outdoor elevator and the Motor is Quite Epic as well! A good score overall!

Here are 2 boRing Schindler HT VR's. The one on the left is a bit creaky, but the right runs a bit better. The right cab features double door as well. These HT’s may have entirely replace some Dover Impulses from the Mid 1990’s around the 2009 Remodel of the place considering the next door place has some 1995 Impulses.

This is a weird YMCA. This is actually apart of a building with other shops and services.
I thought I was getting a full 330l?️me judging by the HT VR Fixtures on the outside, but the inside has basic HT Fixtures. This has a nice "Golden" cab and is Double Sided, but other than that, a rather basic HT. I wish the motor was louder though.
