***"The Breeders"*** are an American alternative rock band based in **Dayton**, **Ohio**, consisting of members ***[Kim Deal](https://cutt.ly/emsxaWe)*** (rhythm guitar, lead vocals), her twin sister ***[Kelley Deal](https://cutt.ly/umsxddq)*** (lead guitar, vocals), ***[Josephine Wiggs](https://cutt.ly/JmsxgPF)*** (bass guitar, vocals) and ***Jim Macpherson*** (drums).
***"The Breeders"*** genesis came during the ***"[Pixies](https://cutt.ly/qmsxWk6)"** 1988 European tour alongside ***"4AD"*** labelmates ***"[Throwing Muses](https://cutt.ly/Umsxn7T)"***, when ***"Pixies"*** bassist ***Kim Deal*** and ***"Throwing Muses"*** guitarist ***[Tanya Donelly](https://cutt.ly/0msxYll)*** opted to team up for an extracurricular side project.
Following multiple changes in personnel after the release of ***”[Last Splash](https://cutt.ly/cmdBiD0)”***, singer and songwriter ***Kim Deal*** was the only remaining constant member of the ***Breeders*** by 1996. The next year, she returned to the studio in an attempt to record a follow-up album, but her behavior, including drug use and demanding expectations, alienated many of the musicians and engineers with whom she worked.
In 1999, joined by her sister ***Kelley***, ***Deal*** began recording sessions with engineer ***[Steve Albini](https://cutt.ly/vmdVCk5)*** in Chicago. ***”[Fear](https://cutt.ly/gmdV6Wl)”*** members ***Mando Lopez*** and ***Richard Presley***, and drummer ***[Jose Medeles](https://cutt.ly/MmdV155)***, joined the line-up. The group continued recording with Albini in 2001.
***”Title TK”*** was compiled from the output of these sessions and supplemented with two tracks recorded in Los Angeles with engineers ***Andrew Alekel*** and ***Mark Arnold***.
After a nine-year wait, a new ***”Breeders”*** the album ***"Title TK"*** is just a nice addition to what's going on in indie rock instead of its salvation.
It's a surprisingly low-key, self-effacing return that doesn't feel like an attempt at reclaiming ***”[Last Splash's](https://cutt.ly/cmdBiD0)”*** glory. Instead, it blends the stripped-down sounds of ***”[Pod](https://cutt.ly/bmhuj6a)”*** and the ***”[Amps'](**https://cutt.ly/qmd9W2S**)”*** ***”Pacer”*** into a collection of strangely intimate, feminine garage rock.
***”The She”*** is the fourth song on the band’s third album ***"[Title TK](https://cutt.ly/RmhufvX)"***, released on May 20 and 21, 2002 by ***"4AD"*** in the United Kingdom and ***"[Elektra](https://cutt.ly/hmdX7EO)"*** in the United States, and on May 10 by ***"[P-Vine Records](https://cutt.ly/tmdX969)"*** in Japan.

***"Garbage"*** is an American rock band formed in 1993 in Madison, Wisconsin. The band's lineup - consisting of Scottish singer and musician ***[Shirley Manson](https://cutt.ly/1bBcrip)*** (vocals) and American musicians ***[Duke Erikson](https://cutt.ly/gbBcyPD)*** (guitar, bass, keyboards), ***[Steve Marker](https://cutt.ly/FbBcoiN)*** (guitar, keyboards), and ***[Butch Vig](https://cutt.ly/NbBxPnj)*** (drums, production) - has remained unchanged since its inception. All four members are involved in songwriting and production.
A native of Viroqua, Wisconsin, Vig learned to play piano as a child and drums as a teenager. After leaving college, he met future bandmate Erikson in the band ***"[Spooner](https://cutt.ly/NbBxPnj)"***.
But the ***"Garbage"*** become ***"Garbage"*** when band's door opens for Manson, who kicked off her music career at a young age, joining rock band ***"[Goodbye Mr. MacKenzie](https://cutt.ly/YbBcc7E)"***, and alt-rock foursome ***"[Angelfish](https://cutt.ly/2bBcQTI)"***. After a couple auditions, she formally joined ***"Garbage"*** as their lead singer in August 1994.
***"Not Your Kind of People"*** is the band's fifth studio album released on May 11, 2012, through the band's own record label, ***"Stunvolume"***.
The album marks the return of the band after a seven-year hiatus, bringing fresh-oldie noisy guitars, big electronic beats and atmospheric film moments.
Musically, they still find that sweet spot between ***”Motown”*** and ***”Nirvana”***, via the ***“Pretenders”*** and ***”Prodigy"***, with a shrill blast of icy electro that feels more canned than contemporary, a true propulsive slab of clattering, industrial melancholia in which Manson morphs from chanteuse to tsunami at the drop of a beat. Her vocals become distorted and digitized beyond recognition, a cheap ploy for dynamics, obscuring the fact that Manson doesn’t need them.
But for an outfit that’s never denied its plastic-coated glamour, ***”Garbage”*** exits ***“Not Your Kind Of People”*** remarkably well-preserved.
***“Beloved Freak”*** is the eleventh song on Garbage fifth studio album ***"[Not Your Kind Of People](https://cutt.ly/Sb1kbLM)"***, released worldwide on April 11, 2005, through ***"Warner Music"***, ***"A&E Records"*** and ***"Geffen Records"***.

***"The Smiths"***were an English rock band formed in Manchester in 1982. Consisting of vocalist ***[Morrissey](https://cutt.ly/7vnQKtF)***, guitarist ***[Johnny Marr](https://cutt.ly/XvnQXo2)***, bassist ***[Andy Rourke](https://cutt.ly/yvnQVIJ)***, and drummer ***[Mike Joyce](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Joyce_(musician))***,
critics consider the band one of the most important to emerge from the British independent music scene of the 1980s.
Based on the songwriting partnership of Morrissey and Marr, the Smiths' focus on a guitar, bass, and drum sound, and fusion of 1960s rock and post-punk, were a rejection of the synthesiser-based dance-pop of the time. The friction between Morrissey and Marr resulted in a flurry of singles and albums over the course of three years that provided the blueprint for British guitar rock in the following decade.
***"Rank"*** is the band's only live album, recorded live at The National Ballroom in London in October of 1986, roughly six months before they disbanded altogether, these 14 songs capture the Smiths performing in full-on rock-star mode.
It’s an essential part of any Smiths fan's collection, and it's an enlightening live peek at a foursome who many deem the greatest band of the 1980s, and more than a few others deem the last great band period.
***“I Know It's Over”*** is the eleventh song on the **Smiths** live album ***”Rank”***, released in September 1988 by British record company by **"[Rough Trade Records](https://cutt.ly/FvmyIRL)"**.

Taking their name from the French word for knitting, ***"Tricot"*** was formed in 2010 in ***[Kyoto](https://cutt.ly/DQJbx9U)*** by vocalist/guitarist ***[Ikumi "Ikkyu" Nakajima](https://cutt.ly/JQJIz7M)***, guitarist ***[Motoko "Motifour" Kida](https://cutt.ly/nQJIbEl)***, and bassist ***[Hiromi "Hirohiro" Sagane](https://cutt.ly/RQJIWPN)***, who had all played in school music clubs and met through their membership in various bands on the local scene.
Influenced by Japanese artists like ***"[Shiina Ringo](https://cutt.ly/uQJISqe)"***, ***"[Acidman](https://cutt.ly/IQJIGwS)"***, and ***"[Mass of the Fermenting Dregs](https://cutt.ly/VQJIJMU)"***, and older Western acts such as the ***"[Eagles](https://cutt.ly/OQJIBIb)"*** and ***"[Earth, Wind & Fire](https://cutt.ly/jQJIMLp)"***, they claimed to have no knowledge of math rock and no interest in any particular genre or scene, just playing whatever they wanted.
The band's distinctive sound consists of harmonization of pop and emotional vocals with that complex rhythm. The girls create tightly controlled chaos, balancing frenetic rhythms and guitar work with an accessible pop core and sweet, high-pitched, melodic vocals.
They have been getting great attention from all around the world as well, and in 2014 and 2015, they did the Asia tours twice, Europe tours twice including supporting act for ***“[Pixies](https://cutt.ly/KQJI9A2)”*** in the UK, and North America tour.

> The texture and emotion of the music closely mirrors the lyrics – you can hear the passion, regret, misery, hatred, and willpower in ***Ikkyu Nakajima’s*** powerful voice.
>
> In a way, the album is what it sounds like – a hardcore, pitch-black take on ***Tricot’s*** traditional frenzied, slashing rock energy. Throughout the album, you’ll hear many of the shredding, punchy chords that have defined ***Tricot’s*** sound for much of the past decade, broken up by unexpected changes, byzantine guitar and drum riffs, and fiery vocals. **”The Smiths”***, the band's debut studio album, on the surface, the sound wasn't radically different from traditional British guitar pop, but it was actually an astonishing subversion of the form, turning the structure inside out.
Morrissey had a distinctively ironic, witty, and literate viewpoint whose strangeness was accentuated by his off-kilter voice, which would move from a croon to a yelp in a matter of seconds, pop, and Marr's ringing, layered guitars were catchy and melodic.
While the production of ***”The Smiths”*** is a little pristine, the songs are vital and alive, developing a new, unique voice within pop music.
***“I Don’t Owe You Anything”*** is the tenth song on the **Smiths** self-titled debut album, released on 20 February 1984 by **”[Rough Trade Records](https://cutt.ly/YvnQ9fS)”**.
