Titus Gebel is a German entrepreneur with a PhD in law. He founded amongst others Deutsche Rohstoff AG, retired as CEO in 2014 and emigrated to Monaco. After more than 30 years of political activity, he came to the conclusion that real freedom in the sense of self-determination and voluntariness cannot be achieved in the democratic process. His solution: create an entirely new product that will work as a role model in case of success.
Topic: Free Private Cities – A Path to Liberty:
And this is the Free Private City. Imagine a private company offers you the basic services of a state, i.e. protection of life, liberty and property in a defined territory. You pay a certain amount for those services per year. Your respective rights and duties are laid down in a written agreement between you and the provider. For everything else, you do what you want. Thus, you are a contracting party at arms length with a secured legal position, instead of subject to the government’s or majority’s ever changing will. And you only become a part of it if you like the offer.

Christian Michel lives in London, where he advises several non-profit organisations, and gives frequent lectures and seminars. He spent many years living and studying in Paris, then in the 1980’s, he started a trust and corporate financial services company in Geneva. The company grew rapidly by offering protection to individuals worldwide against unfair taxation and bureaucratic encroachments. He eventually sold his company, and left Geneva for London.
Christian is a board member and president of Libertarian International, a director of ISIL, and a committee member of the Libertarian Alliance. He speaks frequently at libertarian conferences around the world, and has written many books and articles.

Over the last 50 years we have seen an accelerated war on concepts – terrorism, whistleblowing, internet freedoms, human rights ,and privacy. But the prototype of them all is the failed war on drugs. As a former MI5 intelligence officer and whistleblower, Annie Machon will be exploring the use and abuse of the failed drug prohibition policy and suggesting possible solutions. The war on drugs is an utterly failed policy that has caused the biggest crime wave the world has ever seen, funds terrorism, has destabilised whole countries and regions around the world, and causes harm to our local communities and individuals.
Einstein’s theory of insanity was to keep doing the same thing over and over again but hoping for a different outcome. And yet that is precisely what world leaders do every time they re-ratify the UN drug treaties. Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP) is a global organisation of law enforcers who know, through their professional experience, that drug prohibition has failed and advocate for a rethink.
Annie Machon at the European Students For Liberty Conference 2016 in Prague, Czech Republic.
Annie Machon (born 1968) is a former MI5 intelligence officer who left the Service at the same time as David Shayler, her partner at the time, to help him blow the whistle about alleged criminality within the intelligence agencies. By doing this, they had to give up their careers, go on the run across Europe (August 1997), live in hiding for a year, and then spend the next two years in exile in Paris. They, and many of their friends, family, supporters and journalists, claim to have been intimidated, and some of them were arrested and put on trial. A death threat was announced against her on a Middle Eastern radio station.
In 2005, Machon published her first book, Spies, Lies and Whistleblowers: MI5, MI6 and the Shayler Affair in which she offers criticism of MI5 and the Secret Intelligence Service based on her observations of the two whilst in the employment of MI5.

Liberland has gained an enormous following, with close to half a million already signed up to help it grow. Liberland' mission is to establish a governance model that functions well and does not inhibit personal freedoms. What does it take to create a state from scratch? Liberland pledges to be responible for diplomacy, justice and security, but what if these services can be successfully privatised?
Vit Jedlicka, President of Liberland, at the LibertyCon (European Students for #Liberty) on the 18th of March 2017 in Prague (Czech Republic).
