Episode 8 of "அவர் நாமம் இயேசு" ("Avar Naamam Yesu" - His Name is Jesus) looks at the Biblical way of walking closer with God. We can only approach God through faith ( Heb 11 :6 ) where it calls for learning to take God at His word through trust and obedience. And in Amos 3 :3 God calls us to walk in agreement with Him . an important prerequisite to walk with Him. Thirdly we can hear Him through His word only if we are in tune with Him as He says in Jojhn 10 :27- " my sheep will hear my voice.."

'Kingdom People' is all about people who are a part of God's kingdom. This is not a political kingdom, rather it has to do with people who have said "yes" to the rule of God in their lives. This acknowledgement of God's rule affects the way in which they make their choices, their values and their goals. Here is an opportunity to look into the lives of those whose lives have been transformed by Jesus Christ.
In this episode, we have with us Mrs. Omana Soundarraj. Mrs Soundarraj and her husband Mr. Joseph Sounderraj have chosen a rather unusual path. They chose a path that took them to a remote location of our country, so that they could bring literacy and the knowledge of the Word of God to a group of people whose language had no written script. Over many years, they painstakingly compiled a dictionary of terms and they translated a significant portion of Scripture into this language. What did it cost them to do this? What was the passion that drove them? Listen on and be blessed.

The Resurrection of Christ has a significant meaning for us. If not for this we have no grounds for hope for the afterlife. Listen on to what the Bible tells us is our inheritance based on the Resurrection.

A christian life is a walk of Faith. But Faith is not something abstract, an imagination based on fanciful thinking. Faith in the Bible is trust in a Person. We walk trusting in God who has given us the promises in the Word of God to live by.

These songs are Scriptures set to tune to aid Scripture memorization. The verses are all from the New International Version 1984 edition (used with permission). These verses are reliable and worth memorizing. However there is a more recent version of NIV (2011) which we do not recommend* (please read disclaimer below).
All songs were set to tune by Rampert Ratnaiya and this version of "Scriptunes" was released around 2002 (remix) by the Friends Missionary Prayer Band. Many people put their shoulders to this project. Ashok Vedhanayagam initiated this remix on behalf of Friends Missionary Prayer Band. The various singers are as follows.
1. Caleb Martin
2. Maxyn Kingston
3. Meghala Ratnaiya
4. Mukesh Mark
- The narrations are by Mrs. Grace Paul Wesley and Dr. Clement Felix
- The choral arrangements are by Augustine and the choir comprises of Augustine and friends.
- The Drum Programming, Recording and Mixing is by Josiah Heflin.
- The Electric Guitar was played by Bennett Emmanuel.
- All other instruments were orchestrated and sequenced by Rampert Ratnaiya.
*I DO NOT endorse the new 2011 version of NIV which in trying to be "politically correct" and has serious misrepresentations. When we used the 1984 version for Scriptunes, we found that version to be reliable and all the verses that we have used are worth memorizing. Zondervan (the publisher) is not in Christian hands any more. It is now a division of Harper Collins.
