Damar Hamlin collapsed during the middle of the Buffalo Bills game against the Cincinnati Bengals in a very frightening scene. He required CPR prior to being taken off the field in an ambulance. He suffered a Cardiac Arrest, it was later revealed. The game has been indefinitely postponed in a decision that is honestly baffling. Skip Bayless pointed this out, but because everyone is in their feelings, people are trying to cancel him for making a reasonable point. The show goes on... Nothing but love has been shown Hamlin's family and support is flowing in. His children's charity, a toy drive he established has raised over $5.5 Million since last night and everyone is trying to make sense of this. But here's the thing, this situation is unfortunately not unique. Young, athletic men are dropping dead or being seriously injured on the regular. College aged athletes through late 30's, including Geeks and Gamers' own and former Jacksonville Jaguar Uche Nwaneri, who passed after a heart attack at the end of 2022. This isn't normal, this isn't okay and by feigning compassion over naming the culprit, you are doing damage to the young men who are being put at risk! Side note, Jeremy Renner's story also gets worse as more information on his accident has come to light. He was helping out a stranded motorist when his snow plow incident occurred.
