They explored the Ancient Orseko Arena, where they defeated Maline and freed her captives. When they returned to Gartland Castle, King Grosnar rewarded them with the Red Key Emblem. They now have seven out of the ten Key Emblems available. Furthermore, Mjoll joined the party. Now, the party will carry out the first quest to expand their equipment bag space. This will also take them on a miniature world tour. Gartland (time 0:26): The party resumes in the church in Gartland Castle Town. They go to the train station and take the train to Rakkaran. Rakkaran (time 4:27): The party exits the train station to the Owner's Castle. On floor 2F, they go to the southern part of the balcony. A black chest contains Mini Medal #064, counting the 20 Heorot has exchanged so far. Outside the door to the throne room, the party talks to an Elf woman named Sasarana. The first objective is to see Matoi in the Royal Capital Kamiharumui, the capital of Eltona. The party goes outside. They Zoom to the Mountain Checkpoint in Inamino Highway. Inamino Highway (time 8:15): West of the Mountain Checkpoint, the party exits at B-6 to the South Kamiharumui Region (カミハルムイ領南). South Kamiharumui Region (time 8:38): On their way to the Royal Capital Kamiharumui, the party explores some of the area and encounters some monsters. Local monster types include the following: Frolickers (ベロベロ), Abracadabradors (サブナック), Hat Hamwitches (マジカルハット), Pink Sanguinis (ピンクモーモン), Dandelion Fluffs (ケセランパセラン), Bamboogiemen (からくりだいみょう), and Kotobukino (コトブキーノ). Mjoll reaches Level 31 and earns 5 skill points for a total of 5. I think I will get her Multifists ability under Fisticuffs and try that before I decide whether to switch her to Claws. On a ridge at F-6/G-6, a red chest contains 3 Fisticups (げんこつダケ). Daston reaches Level 36 and earns 6 skill points for a total of 7. Under Whips, he spends 5 points on Attack Power +10 with a whip equipped. At F-4, a red chest contains 3 Pink Pines (きれいな枝). At D-4, the party enters the Royal City Kamiharumui South (王都カミハルムイ南). In the northern room, they talk to Matoi. She sends them to see Pappol in Megistris. The party leaves Matoi's house and Zooms to Megistris City. Megistris (time 21:32): The party goes to the upper level of town. In the northwest, they enter the house at B-2/C-3. Upstairs, they talk to Pappol. Pappol sends them to get a certain key from Wild Chappies (あらくれチャッピー) in the Gilzad Region. They will have to take this key to someone in the bank in the Dorwaam Kingdom. The party leaves Pappol's house and Zooms to the Cove Settlement in the Gilzad Region. Gilzad Region (time 23:39): The party goes north from the camp and goes hunting for wascally wabbits: Wild Chappies (あらくれチャッピー). Heorot reaches Thief Level 41. He learns the Thief trait Agility (すばやさ) +30, which appears to be the last universal stat boost available for Thief. It looks like there is also a universal ability to learn at Level 50, though. Starting with Quest 283: "The Man who Lived" for Minister Ligues, they investigated the Fake Sea Breeze Cave. They defeated a gaggle of Hitokui Dolls and saved a man named Tegram. Afterwards, they brought Tegram some food from the castle to revive him. Then, in Quest 284: "The Man who Became Hope" for Mayor Baffle, they investigated Tegram's activities. They went to the Garial Cave in the south of the Fake Gran Zedora Region and defeated the Halberdsaurus. Now, the party will finish up "The Revived Kingdom". Fake Gran Zedora (time 0:31): The party resumes in the church in the Kingdom of Fake Gran Zedora. They Zoom to the Fake Gran Zedora Castle - Entrance destination. Fake Gran Zedora Castle (time 4:00): In the Servant Room on floor 3F, the party talks to Squire Kipper at C-6. Tegram has asked for a certain item, but the castle servants are unable to procure it. Kipper issues Quest 285: "The Man who Realized the Truth", the third quest in "The Revived Kingdom", Fake Gran Zedora's substory quest line. Tegram has chosen to be the new leader of Gran Zedora, and an important ceremony will soon be held. Tegram entrusted the servants with acquiring a stone called the Dark Eye (黒曜のひとみ). It can be acquired from Lunatick Queens (メーダクイン) in the Mysterious Waterway west of Melsandy Village. Kipper is worried about the strength of these monsters, so he entrusts the task of collecting a Dark Eye from a Lunatick Queen to the party. Mysterious Waterway (time 7:49): On floor 1F of the waterway, the party begins hunting Lunatick Queens (メーダクイン), starting around F-1. They use a Metal Perfume and a Double Bubble before they begin fighting the disgusting creatures. The Lunatick Queens are easy at this point in the game. During the hunt, the party takes out a Lunatick Prince (メーダプリンス), a rarefied Lunatick. The player earns the accolade "Tentacle Prince Hunter" for defeating a Lunatick Prince. The party acquires the Dark Eye (黒曜のひとみ) key item after defeating a few Lunatick Queens. The next objective is to deliver the Dark Eye to Kipper in Gran Zedora Castle. The party Zooms to the Fake Gran Zedora Castle - Entrance destination. Fake Gran Zedora Castle (time 11:10): In the Servant Room on floor 3F, the party talks to Squire Kipper at C-6. They hand in the Dark Eye. He says it emits an eerie light. The other servants had also gathered weird plants and liquids. He wonders how Tegram plans to use them. Anyway, Kipper will deliver this stuff to the Laboratory in the Secret Underground Corridor under the West Tower. He feels uneasy, so he asks the party to accompany him there. The door leading there from the Sea Breeze Cave has been unlocked, so the party must approach from the Hero Princess's room atop the West Tower. The party takes the door at B-3 to floor 3F of the Fake West Tower. On floor 2F, Davilas takes the door at D-3/E-3 to the Celestrian Chief's Room. Within, he talks to Archangel Mitlar at D-2/E-2 to get the story started. An event with Mitlar and Yuraiza takes place. Next, Davilas must head up to the Heavenly Altar. After the event, Mitlar has story info. Davilas leaves the office, goes downstairs, and exits the Heavenly Shrine. In the temple's exterior, he goes up the lift at D-4/E-4. Then, he goes out the door at D-3/E-3 to the Heavenly Altar. A scene takes place. Sovereign Jia Red Genos has sent a couple of Jia delinquents to pester the temple: Jia Rubé, the girl, and Jia Saphir, the boy. While the Champions hold off some fiendish forces, Davilas and Yuraiza have a pest to deal with. After the scene, it is boss time against Jia Rubé (ジア・ルーベ). The fiery crystal girl uses a lot of fiery attacks, starting with the humble Flame Slash and Flame Multislash. She gains Jia Prominence, a straight line attack, at yellow HP. When her HP gets red, she gains Jia Volcano, which hits a large area. Fortunately, Yuraiza is on hand to help the player party in this battle. After the battle, another scene takes place at the Heavenly Altar. Even in defeat, Jia Rubé has the power to help Jia Saphir cause a bit of vandalism before they leave. I don't think a fresh paint job is going to help with that. Looks like the Champions have work to do. Afterwards, Spael comes to Davilas and Yuraiza in a panic. The next objective is to visit Tetral in the Crystal Room under the Purging Fountain. Davilas gains control outside the Heavenly Altar. He takes the lift at D-3/E-3 down to the temple's exterior. At E-4, Sebrun has story info. Davilas takes the door at F-4 to the Purging Fountain. Within, Spael at E-5 has story info. Davilas takes the door at D-4/E-4 down to the Crystal Room. This triggers a scene with Yuraiza and Tetral. The Divine Sword Rectalis and the Shield of Astoltia were made in ancient times to counter Jia Kuto. Davilas must find a way to go back in time to the Age of Myth to learn more. So, Yuraiza asks Davilas to visit Melearde in the Current Royal City of Kimbel's Royal Army Headquarters. That explains why we had to do stuff in Kimbel. The required tasks are: Quest 476, Quest 483, Quest 580, Quest 581, Quest 583, Quest 584, Quest 587, and Quest 589. Water Source of Heavenly Tears (time 4:49): As Davilas arrives in the Water Source of Heavenly Tears, a scene takes place. He meets a Slime named Slurpy and a Wedi girl named Linarshe. The next objective is to go to the Shrine of Judgement in the middle of the area. Davilas gains control at G-6 in the east. Check out the depiction of the island to the south on the map! The area is pretty, but it is a bit challenging to navigate. The Skycats (サーバルスカイ) are annoying. Not only are they aggressive, but they can also absorb MP and put up Bounce. At F-5 on the main eastern island, Davilas examines a Teleportation Cauldron to add a new destination to the Soul Candlestick. On a rise at G-5, a black chest contains 10 Azure Dahlias (しらあいダリア). At F-6 on the small island southwest of the eastern island, a black chest contains an Eternal Rainbow (とこしえの虹). It is on a rise that is only accessible by bridge from the islet to the east. At E-6 on the same island, a black chest contains a Demon Dog Leopold Medal (魔犬レオパルドメダル). It is accessible by the bridge leading southwest from the eastern island. At D-4 in the southeast of the west-central island, Davilas examines a Teleportation Cauldron outside the Shrine of Judgement. This adds another new destination to the Soul Candlestick. Shrine of Judgement (time 34:35): Slurpy at E-4 has story information. Davilas exits through the main door at G-4/G-5. Water Source of Heavenly Tears (time 35:43): Davilas follows the path to the main part of the west-central island. At D-4/D-5, it leads to F-5 in the lower level of the Cliff. At C-5, he emerges on the upper level of the Cliff. He examines the nearby Teleportation Cauldron to add a new destination to the Soul Candlestick. At B-4/B-5, a black chest contains a Substitute Coin (身代わりのコイン). In a small shrine at G-4, a black chest contains 3 Yellow Orbs. The upper path at F-4 leads to D-4 on the main map. Davilas reaches the main part of the west-central island. At D-4, Davilas examines a Teleportation Cauldron by the northern bridges. This adds yet another new destination to the Soul Candlestick. Following the bridge west, Davilas finds a Slime at C-4. A scene takes place when he examines this Slime. Its name is Slange. Davilas obtains the Slange (スランジ) key item. A conversation with Slurpy follows. The next Slime location is marked on the main eastern island. Davilas takes the bridges to the north-central island. A short land bridge in the northeast leads to the main northeastern island. Davilas enters the cave to the east at E-3. Out the southwestern exit, he finds a small shrine at E-4.
