Higher Plain Games focuses on game reviews and retro gaming content for us older gamers! I talk about games on ZX Spectrum, Master System, Mega Drive, PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, PSP, PS Vita, Wii, Gamecube and PC. I have a particular love for simracing, rhythm-action, unusual and unique games. Graphics don't matter too much - its all about the gameplay for me. Higher Plain Games and its website are part of the Higher Plain Network - created to help you discover new things you may not have been aware of.

I cover games for all ages, but I'm not a YouTuber that will be screaming at you with neon signs and lights. I'll talk to you like a normal human being and offer in depth insight and analysis on games as I go. I hope you enjoy what I do and please do say hello either here or on one of the links below

Gensou Skydrift is a kart racer where you literally ride on top of magical girls. As you do. It is very rough around the edges but does have some charm and interesting ideas. Hyper-5 has some graphical perspective issues and is a bit short but it is also quite fun too. I also want to say the PS4 version seems to be very buggy. I made this review using the PS5 version, which ran perfectly. The PS4 version seems quite unstable and trophies also didn't unlock for me.
