Valle del Cauca is one of the most biodiverse departments in Colombia. There are many places where you can enjoy an incredible experience with nature and perform activities such as bird watching in a region with more than 250 endemic bird species. Some of those places are located at KM 18, 40 minutes from Cali Colombia. These places are Finca La Conchita (https://ebird.org/colombia/hotspot/L7021716), Finca Alejandría (https://ebird.org/colombia/hotspot/L2057859/activity) and the Minga Ecolodge (https://ebird.org/colombia/hotspot/L5573619).
In Finca La Conchita (https://ebird.org/colombia/hotspot/L7021716), 116 species of birds have been reported, among which the Colombian Chachalaca (https://ebird.org/species/colcha1) stands out, and also some hummingbird species such as the Bronzy Inca (https://ebird.org/species/broinc1) and the Andean Emerald(https://ebird.org/species/andeme1). There you can also enjoy delicious local food.
Another of the most famous places is Finca Alejandría (https://ebird.org/colombia/hotspot/L2057859/activity), commonly known as the paradise of hummingbirds and where 344 species of birds and 30 species of hummingbirds are reported.
And finally, there is the Minga Ecolodge (https://ebird.org/colombia/hotspot/L5573619). There you will see 17 different species of hummingbirds and 30 different species of tanagers, including the Multicolored Tanager (https://ebird.org/species/multan1). You can also find Quetzals and Toucanets species.

Jardín Colombia, located in the southern area of Antioquia, is one of Colombia’s most beautiful towns and a national heritage. It is one of the 17 national heritage villages (Pueblos Patrimonio de Colombia). When they founders arrived to the town from the viewpoint Alto de las Flores they observed the valley that by then it looks like a jungle with white yarumos and crossed by two little rivers, so they exclaimed "This is a garden", and that's how Jardín gets its name. This small coffee region is about four hours from Medellin. During my visit, I fell in love with its people and the general atmosphere of Jardin Antioquia.

ColombiaModa (https://colombiamoda.inexmoda.org.co/es/) is “Colombia Fashion Week” that seeks to make Colombia visible in the international fashion industry. It is one of the most important scenarios in Latin America. During this week the most important designers, models and merchants of the fashion industry meet in Medellín (https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medell%C3%ADn) to celebrate and learn about its development in Colombia and the world. In 2019, the 30th edition of ColombiaModa was held under the direction of Inexmoda (https://www.inexmoda.org.co), a company dedicated to promoting the Colombian fashion industry.
Workshops, conferences and catwalks open to the general public are held in ColombiaModa, so that all people can know the potential of Colombian fashion.
It is also a space for entrepreneurs to publicize their brands and interact with potential customers. This year 540 brands attended, among them Miguemo (https://www.instagram.com/mi.guemo/?hl=fr), and 25 catwalks were made. The products that are sold the most during ColombiaModa are swimsuits, underwear, denim and sportswear.

This shows the quality and remarkable development that this sector has had within the Colombian economy.

Tinamú Birding Nature Reserve (http://bit.ly/tinamu_manizales) is a reserve located 40 minutes by car from Manizales (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manizales), the capital of the department of Caldas (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caldas_Department).
Tinamú is a dry forest from 15 Ha to 1,225. m.a.s.l., home to hundreds of species of birds, mammals, reptiles, butterflies and a variety of ancient plants and trees. The perfect place for bird watching in the Colombian Andes (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andes) with comfortable rooms.
The conservation of the reserve began more than 40 years ago thanks to the respect and love for the nature of the Londoño Jaramillo family, who allowed coffee and plantains plantations to become a semi-natural forest, supporting their reforestation with the planting of trees and flowers managing to attract a high density of fauna to an oasis in the middle of fully agricultural mountains.
