The team at BitGreen announced that backed by the BitGreen community, they will be supporting the fight against COVID-19, in partnership with theFolding@Home network. What is Folding@Home? Folding@home is a decentralized network of volunteer computers tasked with providing crucial computing power for scientists researching therapeutics to the world’s deadliest maladies. Mapping out diseases (“folding”) and finding cures requires computing resources far beyond what most research labs have at their disposal. And so, Folding@home software is designed to allow anyone to volunteer their unused computer power to the cause. The Folding@home software ensures that your daily life isn’t hampered by having your computer connected to the network. So, while you keep going on with your everyday activities, you’ll actually be contributing to the effort of finding cures for diseases like cancer, ALS, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, COVID-19, influenza, and many others.
