As seen in ep 9, Snoke is essentially Palpatine. Due to this revelation, we re-worked this scene to be a sort of moment where Palpatine speaks to Kylo through Snoke, telling him to fulfill his destiny. In another clip, we've further re-worked the scene so that Palpatine is encouraging Kylo to kill Snoke, thus putting Kylo in a somewhat vunerable state without a master.
The idea here is to illustrate Palpatine's influence on Kylo more than just with a few opening words of dialogue in ep 9.
The clips posted here is from our fan edit "The Senate Cut", which is based off the Ortrega cut, but pushes the film a bit more.

An updated clip using deepfake tech to place Harrison Ford in the role. You'll see a few strobing effects on Han's face. This will be taken care of during color correction. This footage is 100% raw and untouched.
This is from our "Smuggler Cut" of the film.

One of the issues in TROS is the really high number of fake out death scenes. Chewie dies (but then doesn't), C-3PO is wiped (but then he isn't). Ben dies (but then he isn't), and Rey dies (but then she isn't). This type of writing is detrimental to a movie because it lets the audience know that there's no stakes. Anyone who dies can simply come back. As a result, death scenes lose their impact.
In this scene, we've removed Chewy's reveal to Hux and Pryde, and the audience will now find out about Chewy along with Rey, when she senses him on Kijimi. We actually wanted Chewy to die on Passana full stop, but we simply don't have the budget to digitally erase him from the rest of the film.
Also removed here is Finn's use of the term "Wayfinder", as these devices are called holocrons outside of this film, and will be referred to as such in the Closure Cut.

This edit eliminates some of the more silly lines in this scene, such as Finn saying that he can't feel his teeth.
The edits in this scenr remove the overt silliness that messes with the tone, culminating in a more even, star wars scene. Some of the audio cutes aren't quite there, but if you'd like to help with them we're happy for assistance.
These edits can be found in our "The Senate Cut" of the film which will release soon.

This edit removes the "reach out" and "I can feel it!" scenes here. Rey isn't that stupid (hopefully), and Luke was never a jerk. Instead, the scene now plays as a student genuinely trying to learn, and Luke genuinely trying to train her. Some of the sounds were added here by Ivan Ortga, who's cut is the basis for this edit.
This edit is part of our "The Senate Cut" I'll be releasing soon.
All footage belongs to Lucasfilm and Walt Disney Studios.

In this clip we've edited out Q'ira's "We definitely do" line, as well as Han's "You look great" line. As with the other Disney-era Star Wars films, comedy is forced into every situation, regardless of the stakes. Here, the falcon has gone into the maelstrom (supposedly terribly dangerous), L3-37 has just died, there's a hull full of Coaxium rapidly deteriorating, and they're further being pursued by TIE fighters. Why would anyone be making jokes or quips right now? This edit is attempting to maintain the urgency of the sequence, not undermine it with comedy.

Disney has included three things in each film they've made so far: using the word "hope" at every opportunity, attempting to make Han's dice a sentimental object, and slipping the "punch it!" line into every film at least one. We've removed those lines here to keep the scene's momentum intact.

This edit removes the "who talks first" and "apparatus" lines to portray Poe as more of a strong, silent type. This also makes Kylo Ren more intimidating. Lastly, it sets a more serious tone more in line with the previous films.

We've cut a large portion of the escape pod scene because it seems unnecessary. We don't need to see Rey get into the pod, see the pod move to the launch bay, etc.
We think this specific edit streamlines the scene more, and keeps the pace of the film.
This edit is part of our "The Senate Cut", which will be released soon.
