Jeffrey A. Tucker: Did liberal democracy die with covid?
As the world begins to resume some form of "normality" we continue to witness challenges to civil liberties, democracy and human rights as western liberal culture comes under attack.
It is also evidence that many global centralised organisations such as the World Economic Forum are advancing their efforts to capitalise upon the crisis and drive forward the idea of a new social contract. In this episode, we explore what can be done to prevent a recurrence of what occurred during the pandemic by holding decision-makers, media elites, technology companies, and intellectuals to account whilst planting the seeds for a cultural revolution.
To unpack these issues I am joined by Jeffrey A Tucker, founder and president of the Brownstone Institute. He is also a Distinguished Senior Fellow of the Austrian Economics Centre in Vienna, a research fellow of the RMIT Blockchain Study Group, a columnist at Forbes, Chief Liberty Officer and founder of Liberty.me.
