This Full Moon is a Lunar Eclipse! A Lunar Eclipse occurs when the Full Moon passes directly behind Earth and into its shadow. So even though the Moon is full, its light is diminished by Earth. So we are literally blocking out the light that should reach the Moon. So what does this do to the Full Moon window? What does this teach us? Does the Moon remain full even if we can’t see it due to the eclipse? Of course it does! The Moon remains 180° opposite the Sun even if we can’t “see” it, which leads us to the teaching of this Full Moon: just because we don’t have the bigger picture, doesn’t mean there isn’t one! The Earth in between the Sun and the Moon represents our meddling nature that creates a blind spot! That blind spot, that small picture, creates doubt and pain within us. We think we are abandoned or unable to access the light and thereby cannot melt down obstacles.
