Associate Artist David Parkin creates an installation based on his time under section, suffering from a bi-polar manic episode. Using drawings, notes and plans made at the time, Parkins has created alternative visions of a typical mental unit NHS bedroom.
This performance and poem by Peter Buckley is taken from the gallery tour featuring work in performance by the Bradgate Writers. Performances took place around the gallery and in David Parkin's vision of an alternative NHS Seclusion Room. In tune with this, Peter offered his sci-fi influenced vision imaginary room taking in ASMR, social media, tribute to motherhood and peaceful presences, and mindfulness.
