Pokemon Shield - Part 13 Getting Kubfu at the Isle of Armor
We head into the DLC area and tackle the first bit of storyline. Depending on which game you are playing, the rival will be either psychic or poison (neither are gyms in the main game). We are given some tasks by the instructor that ultimately leads to us facing off against Avery, unlocking the ability to Gigantamax any Pokemon we have that are capable of doing so, and then getting an extremely popular legendary that we will need to evolve to finish the storyline here. Sadly, we will be going into the tundra before doing so, but maybe we can return soon... ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryi8VkDWFJU
This is by far the most disappointing gym I've encountered. With so few Pokemon of a certain type in the dex, I don't know why they went with the types they did. I did pick up a ground type to use, but it doesn't quite work out, so I will need to find a replacement in the next video.

Like with Mark of the Sharr, you need to wait until Lynn's affection goes up, or unless you're willing to invest a fortune in the attack drones to get this achievement. You will need to use the Gravity Gun to get the enemies in position, then you can either fire a practice swarm to soften then, or have Icari and Asaga soften them with their assaults. Once they are low, and you're comfortable, drop a neural boost on Lynn, Full Forward, and unleash the drones!

The electric flying squirrel from World makes his return here and has adapted to the change in terrain pretty well. His weakness is water, and I couldn't remember if his tail comes off (it doesn't, but it does break). Some of his stuff can be used to upgrade Khezu stuff or make its own Thunder weapons depending on what tree you need, so you may have to fight it more than once. Due to its speed, I imagine it may be fairly difficult for some of the slower weapons, but I am intent on abusing my bowgun and this is no different.

On this route, as one of the two heterosexual characters on the ship, you can get her to reciprocate your feelings. Just pop in the code, and instead of having to waste your time with a futile game, you can rescue your princess...

The day has come to obtain liberation, so we take a tour through Crossbell to see how it is weighing in on everyone. Due to there being more NPCs there now than in the Crossbell games, the patrol has been split up into two parts for ease of uploading.

We get a brief detour that yields a new costume for Towa when she contemplates the future and ends up reuniting for a day with her previous class. We get some insight into them as well (more Crow than anything), and at the end of the day, Towa decides what she will be doing going forward.

This is one of the few Sonja maps, and you can see a little bit on how her super has some invisible power concealed in it. To avoid this, I recommend relying on indirect fire, and there are few choices better for this than Grit. I will be abusing him quite a bit for the near future as when we get back to the maps against multiple COs, it is hard to maintain his defensive line, and a lot of other choices are better and faster.
Like the previous encounter with her father, you can cheese her somewhat by getting a rocket onto your beach and denying her some of the properties on the other side of the island. Rockets other than Grit's will not reach, and her battleships will outrange you, so this is Grit exclusive. A few other indirects around those like missiles for airplanes and artillery for navy can offer a lot of help too. You will need to wrap around the island and break her stronghold before leaving that island for the other. Basically, once you have your island secured, you should have the economy to send over some battleships and cruisers and put her down for good.
Now, the thing about Sonja's super that they do not tell you in this game is that her 1.5x multipler means that she is shooting first. The visuals do not demonstrate this (in this game), but she will maintain initiative and can cripple your units before you get your attack off. This means that if you attack her bombers with antiair, she can kill the antiair before it does anything meaningful. The way around this is indirects as there is no first shot to take. Shoot her out of the sky with missiles and her super is meaningless, or hit her subs and cruisers with artillery and that is a wrap. There are a few COs who excel at doing this other than Grit (Eagle), so just be careful if you are fighting her with someone like Max. It will be a little dangerous for even Sensei, Colin, or Hachi to attack her as well since they are neutral at best, and disadvantaged at worst.

Prior to the first update, I barely did rampage quests as all due to how much I hate them. When we were finally able to fight Apex monsters outside of them, I was all too delighted to hop in. With the time skip between the previous video and this one, you can see that my Pierce gun set is now assembled, and personally, I think it is a little better than my Sticky gun for this particular monster.
Arzuros has a few new moves, the most annoying of which being his low hop. It took me a little while to get used to it, and I consider it to be his nastiest move. Sadly, I don't really need his stuff as he only has his Apex drop for rampage weapons (which I don't use), so trying to farm him for crowns is a real chore.

The title is memories people. Sorry if you misread that...
Anyway, for some reason this side quest has an achievement associated with it, which makes me think that it may be missable if you either didn't do all of the puzzles, missed some scenes with Sola, or something like that. The premise here is that we will fight infinitely spawning enemies until Sola reaches the spot on the map and gets shot up. Luckily, Archangel is not too difficult to move, and you can use the Gravity Gun to give it an extra boost. Just reach the marker and the mission is complete and you get an achievement.
Ironically, there are no major bombshells here, so apparently her memories were not all that valuable...
