A few words on this episode. I didn't edit the work time on it except for crash screens that appeared 5 times, shader compilation and asset download.
I made a terrible mistake while making this video that I correct after 33 minutes! I left it unedited for you to see how to find your errors and fix them. and how small simple thing could lead to hours of pointless debugging ;) thankfully I avoided that.
At some point of the video the countess had this terrible aim offset aberration. it was due to using ik aim offset and linked anim graph used a normal 8 direction aim offset. Together they did not look good :D
I wanted to record single cut of entire functions we are making without planning ahead, but started recording too late at night and had to take a break ;) I will finish it up today.
In mean while uploading the state of the project as is - without paragon assets. Add countess to your project, then download the newest git pull! The setup of blendspace and everything should be working just fine if you do it in this order.

In this episode, we will finally make full use of what we have set up.
I focus here mainly on reading the data from the smart contracts, parsing it, and displaying it for in-game use.
To put something clear - We have created a container that can store data for users. It will store the data persistently for as long the internet lasts and blockchain is a thing, so we can assume forever. It will be accessible long after the developer of the game vanish and still work based on smart contracts as long as someone will pay for the transaction fees.
All costs that were made so far for this to work are 0.01 USD on the developer side and 0.007 USD on the user's side (for minting all colors. not per operation). That is one of the reasons that blockchain as a technology to store persistent data is a very viable method that doesn't require upkeep, monthly payments, maintenance or security.

Improvements:
1. attacks now execute 30% faster
2. added floating combat text
3. damage is now based on weapon and base character stats
4. statistics - both primary and secondary improve with level
5. all characters work on the same basis - monsters, bandits, followers, player etc. they all run on character stat component
6. added UI for character and companions
7. added scalability settings in-game: keyboard 1-4 sets to low, medium, high, epic
8. Changed the attenuation and volume of many sounds including the so much annoying ambient birds ;)
More under the hood improvements.
Added incomplete inventory - a work in progress. it works already on gameplay-level but doesn't have full visual yet.
Improved the pace of the gameplay.
Fix a number of bugs.
