This is a series of gameplay vids I'm doing highlighting overlooked games for the various consoles I own.
Kill.switch is an overlooked third person shooter that's made by Namco.
Now, take a close look at the gameplay mechanics in this game and tell me if they don't look a little familiar. There's a certain more "Epic" game that has almost identical play mechanics that was released on the 360.
The game was one of the first to include a cover mechanic to shooter gameplay. You duck, cover, run gun and shoot your way through the levels while accomplishing mission objectives. Some people may find it to be a little repetitive, but it's a shooter, what do you expect?
For those who need more than gameplay, there is some story to the game. it's not super deep or engrossing, but it's decent enough for those gamers out there who absolutely have to have a story in their games (I could personally care less about a story).
The life bar setup is similar to the original Killzone's where your life recovers a little bit when you're injured, but not fully. You still need to collect health packs and whatnot.
Overall, this game didn't get a lot of attention which is a shame, because its a very fun shooter. If you're a fan of shooter with the duck and cover mechanic, then you should definitely look into this one.
Kill.switch is also available on the PS2, and PC.
There's also, oddly enough, a port of the game to the Game Boy Advance, but no Gamecube port for some reason.
Note: This game is also Backwards Compatible with the Xbox 360.
