A big call but I truly believe it's an evil action to turn a community against itself.
It stinks of the most destructive and socially engineered, failed totalitarian regimes throughout history.
I get that there is a level of community surveillance, of culture, of social pressure in our society. I understand concepts like 'Neighbourhood Watch'. But at their core, they are about holding a community together, especially in times when governments lack the resources to do the same.
I get that it's easier for police to do their job if the community just starts dobbing each other in. But the cost is tearing apart the default sense of trust and altruism that most Australians possess toward one another.
We are stoking anxiety and division that will remain long after we learn to live with Sars-Cov2. That is, frankly, evil.
This thought was filmed back in April when I saw Victoria as the main state pushing an evil, divisive agenda. But now in July I see it throughout Australia from politicians of all persuasions.
