This is now fixed with latest 511 and onwards bios.
Instructions on how to update the bios below :
put the 604 bios on a freshly formatted usb that is extracted, then unplug every usb thing apart from kb, mouse and this usb stick with the bios on. Then go into bios and write down any oc settings you have as all profiles will be wiped and may not work after new bios installed. *******i also highly recommend unplugging the internet*********** this is important for brick issue
Then once you have got all your settings you want to load optimised default settings. once they are loaded you can check that everything has gone back to auto mode. then save and exit.
Then it will restart and you need to go into bios again. You should now have all settings as auto/default in the bios. If that is the case then you use the asus ez flash 3 and then select your usb stick ( it will show hdd, sdd and usb sticks).
You then need to select the prime x370x pro 0511.CAp file and then say its ok to update. This may take a while. If you pc turns off for any resean before the bar reaches the end you are probably screwed. once the pc has finished to bios update it will restart itself and come up with the screen like when you first get the board and says new cpu installed 11700/1700x/1800x depending on which cpu you have. it will say press f1 to enter bios, you can then go to bios and check it says 0511 version bios and you can then put any setting you had back in and save then reboot and that should be fine then :)
My Asus Prime X370 pro died Tuesday 7th of march for an unknown reason. I cut the cable ties which were holding the cooler on and installed the phanteks mount which had arrived. After installing the cooler i tried to turn the PC on and it would not post or display anything.
I tried everything i could think of to get it working, swapping out every single part but the cpu and motherboard, which i only have one of.
I would recommend avoiding Aus AM4 boards for now, as there have been a number of people in the OCUK ryzen owners thread that have also had there boards die. This applies to the Crosshair VI Hero and B350 boards as well.
I Will unlist this video once these issues have been resolved to avoid any confusion when updated bios come out or newer revisions of the board.
