In this video, I demonstrate a combination of kettlebell and bodyweight exercises for the core, shoulders, and mobility. I also talk about crunches, how to do them properly, and avoid the common mistake made.
The first kettlebell core exercise is from an old workout I created many years ago, the Galley Slave, you can check that one out here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6IHiTNB39sI then include some bodyweight core work with the plank and knee going across to the opposite elbow, elbow, and out to the side. Repeat on the other leg. The part that follows is something I demonstrated a week ago and called kettlebell woodchopping
https://youtu.be/b5Lrda9IzbQ I got a lot of negative comments about that one, calling it a party trick, not being good for anything, etc. so, in this video, I decided to spend a bit more time explaining the benefits of the movements.
Not everything you do has to be done with heavy weights and has to work a popular muscle group. One should always include movements that work areas normally neglected, like the ROM in shoulders, wrist strength, thoracic rotation, and the list goes on.
