Yes, I haven't seen this land before buying it... If I delayed this by one day, it would be too late probably.
In any case, the plan is, this year I will be looking for best way how to get some sort of permit for building some structure, obviously solely for recreation, as that is what zoning/planning would be for that area. Then perhaps another structure obviously a shed for managing the forest, as it would be in such location... There should be similar structures nearby so I will probably contact owners and check with them who to pay and how much.
The infrastructure is not greatest if you don't have some offroad vehicle, but that can be resolved by buying one heh. Best access road is private and I would have to ask owners, whether I can maintain it, but I can imagine they wouldn't complain about that...
This is only land that I own, and I don't want to go into debt to buy a "real house", so plan is to maybe be here for a year or two and then I would be able to save to buy a house if I would need one. On the other hand if I will like this place, I can buy more land like this, but bigger, so that I can build something bigger in "remote" location.
So if all goes well, next year I will start building infrastructure (electricity, water cleaning, waste water treatment, network and living space). Otherwise I've got cute camping site...
As far as wildlife goes, I have identified only deer, rabbit and deer-rabbit hybrids living here. No hogs, wolves or bear, so that's good. I am not sure whether this deer-rabbit mutants are dangerous though. Still I would definitely get a gun if I would be living here.
Also the bugs.. I will be monitoring the situation, as there may be new outbreaks, question is, whether resistance would be futile... I guess only one way to find out...
