We're going to paint a car from start to finish in 3 minutes. It actually took us weeks, but I have sped the entire process to 3 minutes. The Mustang was green and we painted inside and out black. Looks like a simple process in this video, but the job took a lot of time and effort. As you will see in the video, it looks really good. Prep car for blending or clear coat only requires finer grit sandpaper to be used. If too coarse of a grit is used the clear coat will not cover the sand scratches and they will be seen through the clear coat. Care must also be taken not to sand through the surface being prepped. http://CollisionBlast.com - ABRN and Butler Community College has teamed together to bring you this ABRN HOW2. In this video you are going to learn how to use the new Magna-Spot JO 1050 Stud Welder Gun. The new gun is made by Motor Guard and has new features, which help hold the studs in place. We found the new features to be very helpful and eliminates the problem of pins falling out of the tip. Visit http://bit.ly to learn the 7 step process for repairing dents and where to buy this stud welder.
Other than that, the gun operates the same:
1. Remove coating (grinder or dual action sander) sanding takes longer, but it much safer with today's thin metals.
2. Using stud welder gun weld several pins on the damaged area. (remember first in last out)
3. As you start pulling your indirect damage first, use a body hammer to tap down on the highs. (this also helps relax your metal)
4. Pull direct damage last.
5. Remove pins and grind any of the remaining stud welded to the panel. (do not over heat metal)
6. Grind or sand 4" past damage area to provide a area to apply filler without overlapping paint with filler.
7. Blow repair area off with compressed area.
Now you are ready to apply your body filler, block, prime, block, and get ready for paint.
That's it for this ABRN HOW2. Thanks for watching!

VISIT http://CollisionBlast.com for FREE training offer! - - Please rate this video. This Auto Body Repair video is the last part of answering a question of how to prepare and complete a car for artwork. We did not spend much time on airbrushing as Danielle, the girl that asked the question, already know how to airbrush. The question was how to prepare a car finish and clear coat it to ensure the artwork stays protected.
Part 1 - Clean and Scuff
Part 2 - Clean and Mask
Part 3 - Clean, Airbrush and Clear Coat
Are you starting to see a pattern? Proper cleaning is an important more of this type of work.
Part 3
1. Wipe with wax and grease remover
2. Tack off with tack rag
3. Artwork, Airbrush, Etc.
4. Unmask
5. Wipe again with wax and grease remover
6. Tack surface with tack rag
7. Apply tack coat of clear (optional)
8. Apply 2 full wet or recommended coats of clear
Be sure to allow clear coat to flash the recommended time between coats.
Overlap each coat 50% with your spray pattern.
Keep your spray gun parallel to the surface being sprayed.
Wear approved respirator
Wear gloves when clearing
You may also want to spend more time with the airbrush. In this example, I think some red would have looked good on the flames. If you're going for the ghost effect the same method could be used. Simple use pearls instead of color to outline the flame.
Good Luck! end me a photo or video of your project.
