So, we have finished up this house, and if you want to see how we do it every step of the way, there's a video on sealing these up. If you notice that we have this all sealed up also, and now this house is ready for another two or three years. We get a lot of wind here.
So this will move a lot. Probably, three years from now we'll need to seal it up again. If not five years of they’ll be calling about leaks. So keep that in mind. But here you go. This is stuff you could do to your home and make it better. See you guys.
Something else you might consider. This was that dollar tree, including the gloves that I'm wearing. They also have some yellow ones. They're neoprene. So we're looking like a dollar and a quarter each. This I'm using to spread the tar with or actually Clay my longtime companion now is using it to spread tar. And then we throw it away. It's way less expensive than buying a six or $7 margin trowel and if you get something when you're hedging, peel this off. Something to think about when you spreading tar, all right.
Here I am on a windy, windy day, which is the reason that I'm here. Part of it because it makes that roof move through and it moves things. So if you notice, there's naturally flow in and seal. It's been about four, five years since we did it. And that's what you're going to expect. 3 to 5 years, you're going to have to come back and maintain all these areas. You’ll start getting the cracks.
Now, some of these smaller ones, the sealant that we're using will be... This is from Lowe's. We'll be sealing in all that small cracks. So we're going to check all the way down the sides and the ends and seal it up with tar. After we pull off the loose stuff and then we're going to go back over the whole roof.
If you notice see some of it's coming through, bleeding through and we're going to seal the whole roof up with white, so that not only will be sealed, but it will reflect heat in summertime. So that's what we're doing today. Windy as it is.

Just to let you know, you're not the Lone Ranger when it comes to working in bad weather. We had a alternator go out on this truck last night, 30 miles away from home had to have it towed in. And so I've got to change the alternator and decides to snow. So, at 16 degrees, we are going to start working on pulling this alternator out, albeit not very easy and probably take breaks.
Oh, the hydraulic ramps aren't holding it up. Hold it up. We'll just use this piece of metal stud. Where I took out a window in a pet store, pet supply. Alternator, it is right here on top. That's kind of cool. Got to find the tensioner. That's not good. We'll be dropping it on our head. Stand up. The tensioner is right here.
Or is that an idler barring tensioner is down below? Yeah, tensioner is down below. Got to have.
You want to point to the tensioner?
You taka a, you put a looks like an Allen wrench on that one? Anyway, let's disconnect the battery, get my mental stud back up. Tiny little things bolts. Umm, alright, so let’s go get those. So, I'm taking the battery connections loose.
We don't have to take both of them loose, but I probably will because I don't want to short things out when I'm taking the wires off at the back of the alternator. I just don't want those problems.
What size is the wrench?
This is an eight millimeter on his 2006 Ford three 2003.

So here I am doing something different again, which I've done before, but I just haven't been recording. Mind you, I've been doing work for 50 years, maybe 45 years, because I don't want to count when I was a kid working. Anyway, we're doing SOD where there was a pool and this is a pretty nice looking sod. It's not as easy nor as hard as you would think.
So you can actually cut it with a razor knife. Those knives are the better. Kind of feel where it is. It's pretty close. I don’t think we’ve got enough sod, but we're going to get what we can done.

One pallet is supposed to cover 500 feet.
It was wet not too long ago. And supposed to rain tomorrow but they're going to sprinkle a lot of wet this down. Is what you should do. I’m going to try to go out to there.
“You could use that in the front and use a whole piece there.”

“Just put those there.”
Close that one.
“Right there.”
“Here, take that big piece on the steps there. Yeah, we'll do it right here. Over there. The front. You want me to move? You can do one there and one there.”

That ground. Okay, So. Things are different length. Everyone of them, all same widths, but different lengths. If you were staggering them it wouldn’t matter that much, but...
“You could probably just take that one and run it into the ditch.”
Ya, we’ll do that. Ya, over here. All right. Now, we just got to water it a whole lot. Let it grow. There you go. I had a old timer tell me the best time to plant seed is when it's snowing. Then you know exactly how much seed you got in every area. And just let it drop down in? I don't know. But there is there is one more thing. We do whatever the customer wants us to do. See you guys.

I realized the bigger the house, the more chance you're going to have the bigger addition. But see if we can make an arrangement where you don't have hallways.

We're bring you something a little different. Phil and I (Chris-his wife) and Clay all went to watch and support the truckers and the People's Convoy.
I figured we would upload the convoy film. How often will you see over 7,000 trucks and vehicles all at the same time, fighting for the same thing?
There was talk that the convoy had grown to over 12,000 vehicles. We drove over an hour and a half to support the convoy. This is the footage from Clay's video.
