Part of Alec Bradley's Taste the World sampler, today's cigar, the Alec Bradley Magic Toast Toro, is one we're looking forward to.
After smoking the Alec Bradley Tempus Nicaragua toward the end of 2020, we decided to grab the sampler. However, after smoking a few of the cigars from it, I'm not so sure they're all as good as the Tempus Nicaragua.
That said, the Magic Toast is a good-looking toro. The wrapper is well marbled with medium and dark brown areas, and it looks quite delicious. Giving the cigar a quick sniff, the aroma coming from the cigar was that of pipe tobacco, rich, musty, and like molasses.
With a guillotine cut, the draw was perfect.
Toward the end of the first third, there was a fairly significant burn issue I had to correct. But, other than that, the Magic Toast started off fairly well.

Regarding the flavors in the middle third, they were of those of fermentation, kind of like a spoiled over-ripeness and sweetness, but not in a bad way.
Final Thoughts
The Alec Bradley Magic Toast Toro is an interesting cigar. Through most of the cigar, the flavors were mostly good. There was a significant burn issue in the first third and another one in the final third, but the draw was consistently fantastic throughout.
Because of the types of flavors and the specific issues I experienced, I think the Magic Toast, while decent today, could benefit from another year or two spent again in a well-maintained humidor. Also, I think the cigar would be more palatab
