Officer Shot At A Car & GUESS WHO WAS INSIDE IT
St. John police officer charged in November shooting.
Officer Phillip Fabian, 33, has been charged with one felony count of criminal recklessness and a misdemeanor of criminal mischief, said St. John Police Chief Steven Flores.
Fabian is accused of opening fire on an off-duty Hammond police officer on November 29, 2022.
the St. John officer was "checking on an abandoned, unoccupied suspicious vehicle" near West 93rd Avenue and Cline Avenue, and as he was standing in the shoulder of the lane, the officer claims a car nearly struck him.
At the time, St. John police said the officer feared for his life and opened fire on the vehicle, which continued driving past the scene. The officer then chased down the driver and took him into custody.
That driver was said to be an off-duty Hammond police officer.

A police officer fatally shot a man outside a liquor store in San Bernardino following a confrontation late Thursday night that was caught on video.
The shooting happened outside King Tut Liquor Store near the corner of Baseline and Waterman Avenue at about 11:30 p.m. Police initially responded to a report of a man jumping on cars in the store's parking lot.

Man Suspected of Driving Stolen Car Shot.
A man suspected of driving a stolen car who was shot Saturday by an officer in Otay Mesa has been identified by police.
The man has been identified as Mizael Corrales, 31, of San Diego. The officer involved in the shooting has been identified by Detective Anthony Garcia, a 16-year veteran of the San Diego Sheriff's Department.

A Trenton police officer has been indicted by a grand jury.
Officer Nicholas Piotrowski was indicted for one count of official misconduct but was not indicted on charges directly related to Joseph Ahr Senior's passing.
"This officer resorted to using pepper spray during a confrontation with a civilian in a manner that was unnecessary and contrary to his training, mishandling a situation that could have concluded so much differently," said New Jersey Attorney General Matt Platkin.

I checked out an Anaheim Police Department DUI and License checkpoint set up Friday night. Compared to checkpoints I have documented in the past this was a small event.
Anaheim police had no issues with issues with me documenting and asking questions and even offered me a beverage.
Off camera the Sergeant expressed his opinion that saturation patrols have more of a prosecution effect than a checkpoint, but as far as awareness and education and possible behavior changes to drivers he felt that Checkpoints are a better approach to get the word out and get people thinking about their actions while driving.
