Having logged approximately 60 hours into this game, I can definitely say it's been worth the 50 euros I spent on it. it has several problems and minor issues, but it can be very enjoyable. It's a shame that bad corporate decisions and unexploited potential have turned this game into the hate pinata of the gaming community. I'm sure that it'll get better in time, as more patches come along.

Hurray! After 28 consecutive attempts I got my International A License! It's a slow Saturday afternoon and I decided to play some Gran Turismo 4 emulated on my PC. it's surprisingly refreshing to see the graphics of the good old PS2 enhanced under PCSX2 with 4x the resolution of the original. When I originally played GT4 on the console, I had managed to reach one step before acquiring the S License, but I guess I'm a bit rusty on my sim-racing skills....

The opening of one of the most original adventure games of the DOS era, made by LucasFilm Games (later to become LucasArts) and built on the same engine as other unforgettable games such as Monkey Island and Indiana Jones.
Loom is an adventure game that sets itself apart from other titles in the genre through its unique gameplay system: the player character does not carry items around, but rather manipulates objects through the use of spells (called "drafts" in the game). The drafts themselves are woven by playing magical notes on a special instrument called "distaff". All the puzzles in the game are solved by learning and correctly applying these drafts.
