NOTE: You can turn the aim-assist off if you want, I just chose not to for this footage.
Monolith's early FPS games are all cult-hit status, and NOLF is another solid FPS game from them with a cool Austin-Powers/James Bond influence. I have never beaten this game, but I have played far into it in years past.
The full name is The Operative: No One Lives forever, but most people forget the first part of the name. This is a PC-to-PS2 port of a cult-classic Monolith FPS game, and, though I have still yet to play the PC version, I do like the PS2 version. There have been some obvious changes for the PS2 version over the PC version, but I'm not sure what changes were made outside of the obvious control/auto-aim changes. Even back in 2002, they really had not figured out optimal FPS control on the PS2, tuning the aiming analog stick smoothly enough to either not-use, or lessen the auto aim. For a while there the myth was that the PS2 controller wasn't good for FPS games, and somehow the Xbox controller was better, or more accurate. This obviously wasn't true, but that is the myth put forward by the mainstream gaming media, and forum trolls. There are much smoother, more optimized PS2 FPS games that control way more accurately than NOLF, but even then, NOLF's controls are decent.
Obviously, the PC version of the game would be the best version to get, but even with the flaws and changes, the PS2 version is still a solid FPS game that is worth a look. I know there were a lot of complaints at the time from PC gamers snubbing this and any PC-to-console port, but even if the PS2 version is the downgraded version, it's still a solid buy for any PS2 collectors looking for a unique, change-of-pace game.

This is a review for Robotron 64. I did rephrase some of the lines I used in my Robotron X review, because it's all Robotron to me. LOL. Great game, one of the best games for N64 gamers to pick up.

Oops, after I had already made this vid I realized that I had taken this footage from my N64 that doesn't have an expansion pak. Apparently when I did my Quake comparison the other day, I forgot to switch back to my N64 with the expansion pak.
Oh well, the game still plays the same without it.
This is just some random gameplay footage of The World is Not Enough on the N64. I'm playing the second level of the game on Secret Agent difficulty.

I just got this game in the mail today. After playing through Katamari Damacy REROLL on my computer, I've decided to go back and pick up both PS2 games to play and enjoy.
If you're not familiar with the Katamari games, they are breath-of-fresh-air kinds of games with a zany concept, and addictive gameplay that show what gaming can truly be with enough imagination. Even for their day, Katamari was a little too niche for the mainstream, yet they still became popular because they were super fun and addictive. These are the kinds of strange games that just come out of nowhere that I love to see, from an era where developers were still willing to take risks with game design. Even in the days of the PS2, Katamari was a risky game to make, as there were still plenty of mainstream popular trends in those days, as there have always been.
I'm glad to see Namco took a chance here, and if you want to try a Katamari game, but don't have a PS2, PS3, or Xbox 360, look into Katamari Damacy REROLL on all current-gen consoles. The game is short, but it's impossible not to be happy when playing Katamari. Definitely worth the purchase.

I love Armored core 2, in fact, one of my earliest voice-over reviews was on this game. The controls are tough to get the hang of (though customizable), because the game ignores the analog stick, but the rest of the game is so in-depth with customization, and varied mission objectives. Amazing launch game for the PS2, but not for everyone thanks to the controls.

Sorry for the bad quality of the part where I recorded my TV screen. My computer is a turd that can't do two things at once, but I have plans to get a better computer soon, so in the future, I will voice over dub it instead of making it look very amateurish by recording a TV screen where you can hardly make out what is going on on the screen.
If I tried doing a voice over with audacity while watching a vid, my computer I have now would probably explode.
I'm also not sure if all these games are the VCS versions, or if they are from other Atari systems.
Sorry for my poor playing, but I will eventually learn these games much better. I didn't play all the games, because I realized that the video was already getting pretty long.
Also, Asteroids poster fail.

This is part 1 of a vid of the gameplay in Warcraft II: The Dark Saga on the PS1.
This is actually one of the few PC to console ports that I actually grew up playing the PC version over the console version. It was one of the first PC games I ever owned.
The PS1 port is a decent port. There is some obvious slow down, but that's to be expected. Also, playing with a controller takes some getting used to if you're used to using a mouse. I'm playing this with a controller, because I don't have a PS1 mouse. Been meaning to get one for years though.
This is obviously not perfectly played, but I'm not showing my skill here, just the gameplay which is that classic Warcraft II gameplay. Addictive, and fun. Plus, the music brings back memories. Even if you played a different version, it's the same music.

This is just some quick gameplay of the Take-a-Ride mode in Driv3r (or would that be Driver 3) on the Xbox. I'm playing on the Miami map of the game.
I only just recently got this one, so I can't really comment on it. I played it a little with a friend back when it first came out, but overall haven't played it enough. I do remember that it does a few things better then GTA in some areas. Mainly in the area of dual stick aiming which took GTA a bit too long to adopt IMO.
