A demo of the cutesy, obscure JRPG by Victor. It plays until you get into a single battle.

This was dumped by Callis and put up first on here:
https://eludevisibility.org/2015/dead-zone-japan-prototype
It seems I was the first person to really try analyzing it.
Among the differences:
1) There are some graphical corruptions and/or seemingly incomplete graphics. It is hard to tell which may be early FDS dev strangeness vs. disc corruption.
2) There are some missing audio samples.
3) You cannot progress to Floor 3 in-game - Floor 2 goes on a loop after the minigame. (And yes, I played it twice to verify.)
There may also be minor differences in the script, although it it hard to tell with my barely-there Japanese knowledge.

I'm gonna take it this is meant to be another sample (サンプル) cart.
The main notable difference is the one that prevents you from progressing - the first stage lacks it's exit warp, in it's place is some bugged text.
Another thing I noticed is that the lives system is busted. Ignore the bottom-left where the lives counter is meant to be, you always got 3 lives before a Game Over screen.
I'm uncertain of other differences.

One more Mickey Mouse game, finally, after a while of, well, not having them.
The RNG hates me."
I normally don't go from recording a game to ripping it's music like this this fast... but I kinda wanted to ride a gravy train while it's hot, y'know?

Taking a look at this recent grouping, which is new to the HiddenPalace wiki.
This Virtua Fighter 2 version is pretty interesting.
Here's some of the differences I noticed:
1) Several characters have early models. These early models generally look like less-polished versions of the final models. Probably the best example of this is Kage, who looks like an untextured blue blob compared to his final counterpart. (Also, his mask does not come off correctly.)
Note that the models are not as early as the ones in the Saturn Super videos - for example, Shun Di has his belt, though it's not as polished as final.
Also, while 2-player model portraits are viewable in the character select, nobody's 2P model is present in-game. (Strange considering Pai was in her 2P model in the Saturn Super video...)
2) Dural is neither available as the final boss nor playable via the Dural code.
3) Mechanics are VERY "off" in various way that would be difficult to explain in every intricate detail, but some of the basics include how characters are prone to sliding off-position making collisions more difficult, and how sometimes context-sensitive commands seem to be able to be executed outside their intended context, causing various strange incidents.
4) "Watch Mode" kicks you back to the title screen when done.
5) No attract demos.
6) Options Mode does not seem to be present, thus various matchup and cosmetic configurations are unavailable.
7) Loading times are longer than final. Notably, you get a bog-standard loading screen between matches rather than the more arcade-accurate "TRY NEXT STAGE" splash screen.
8)

I've decided to pad out my Satellaview video recordings with ROMs released on Satellablog that I didn't record video of yet!
Although in most cases I did this because the games were basically identical to retail counterparts, there are a few exceptions. Either way, though, I hope these recordings will help provide support for the BS-X Project and obtaining more ROM dumps.
Sonic Blast Man (BS) was put up for download on Satellablog on 8/9/2010.

Sonic Blast Man is byte-for-byte (sans header) identical to the Japanese retail version. This is just short gameplay showing the first level.
