The power was off so nothing to do. Except for some HF listening. I scan HF from 1.8 to 13 MHz. The receiver was a Yaesu FT817 and G5RV antenna at home.

A cheap wind-up LED torch wasn't holding its charge. So it was opened, the torch wires disconnected and the generator output brought to external wires.
Its voltage output was measured - both without and with resistive loads. A resistor burns and smells as the generator's output was somewhat greater than realised. However it means that many electronic items could possibly be converted to wind-up operation.
