I was batch converting the various noise floor levels of the Roland R07 from 24/96 to 16/44 with Cool Edit 2, but something went wrong and I ended up with a series of files at zero length 44100Hz, 8-bit stereo files (0:00.000) with 28 samples, 56 bytes uncompressed . I stretched out the sample to 6 ms using 'resample' mode and amplified it in Cool Edit to give me something to work with.
Looped it in Wavelab 6 and used dtblkfx and delay to change it into this. The spike at 0:48 happened when I moved the delay to before dtblkfx in the effects chain whilst it was playing. Recorded the output as it played while I adjusted the blocklength parameter of dtb. Dtblkfx effects: resample 2 instances +36/-36. Harmfilt 80% both. HarmShift -28 notes. 1 beats, Overlap 5%, BlkLen range 58.0msec - 92.9msec.
I tried to upload the original unprocessed sample to freesound, but it can't process it. I've uploaded it to here: https://archive.org/download/1116-150744-90-24-48-lc-100
The audio is a version of Gloomy Sunday (which I've processed) by Billie Holiday https://archive.org/details/78_gloomy-sunday-the-famous-hungarian-suicide-song_billie-holiday-lewis-seress_gbia0008324b/Gloomy+Sunday+(The+Famous+Hungarian+Suici+-+Billie+Holiday-restored.flac
The video footage is by me. The audio is Gloomy Sunday by Billie Holiday which I've processed to emphasise the strongest tones whilst attenuating the weaker ones. https://archive.org/details/78_gloomy-sunday_billie-holiday-lewis-seress_gbia0184529b/GLOOMY+SUNDAY+-+BILLIE+HOLIDAY+-+Lewis+-+Seress.flac
Same version that is available on youtube, but I've appended all 5 parts and fixed the audio so it's not on the right channel only.
