Will you be climbing Kilimanjaro? If you climb Kilimanjaro - it will be an adventure of a lifetime. Here is my real life experience in climbing Kilimanjaro. I was not easy, though we took the Rongai Route. This route is to prepare you for climatization. Which I think, best way is to go direct. Many company or agent for climbing Kilimanjaro will tell you that you need to prepare your body to a high altitude. For this, you need to climb and come down again. I think this is working for people who do not prepare themselves or are not active. What i suggest is make yourself fit. Climb the mountain nearest you. Practice yourself to go up as high as possible and come down from that mountain where you are, then when you go up to Kilimanjaro, you take Machame. There are a few route to climb Kilimanjaro and you can discuss this with your agent. Our agent for this climb is the TREKKING HERO. They did a very good job.
