Place this little $51.00 speakerphone on your desk and you can make all your calls hands free confident in the knowledge that your callers can hear you free from background noise and interference no matter where you are in the room. Although it is called a speakerphone it needs a connection to an external phone to make or receive calls.

In the rather plain and unattractive box can be found the speakerphone itself together with a short USB-C charging cable and a well written and easy to read user guide. Build quality seems first-rate with nothing looking likely to fail anytime soon.

The 125 x 125 x 35 mm speakerphone has a weighty feel to it at 300g and fits discreetly into the work or home office environment perhaps better than rather than the living room. The large speaker grill takes up most of the top of the unit with soft-touch buttons along the front for Volume Down, Power, Answer/End Call, Mute, and Volume Up. Along the rear top face are backlit Bluetooth and Power status icons along with one for the LincPlus brand. On the back are standard buttons for Power Off/on and to switch between Bluetooth and USB inputs.

The speaker is battery powered and has a built-in 2600mAh rechargeable battery capable of giving around 12 hours of use from a 2 hour charge. I was pleased to see that the up to date USB-C charging port has been used. A LED confirms the current charging and battery status.

The speaker can connect via USB-C to your computer, phone or other device or via Bluetooth using the up to date Bluetooth 5.0 protocol with a button on the rear of the unit to select between them. So far as I can tell it seems only one audio source can be used at a time.

To use it after connecting to your phone simply press the telephone icon to answer and end the call, using the buttons next to it to adjust the volume and mute when necessary.

I was impressed by how well the speakerphone worked for me. Audio quality is fine with the speaker serving perfectly well as a general purpose music player. Calls worked well with the caller's voice clear and loud and easy to hear even in a busy office. The omnidirectional microphone can detect audio from anywhere around it and reduce background noise and my callers told me they could hear me perfectly well even when I moved around and away from my desk.

There are several more expensive rivals available but for home office use and for small office conference calls I can see no reason to pay more.
