Monster Hunter Rise - Part 2 Great Baggi (Multiplayer)
The guys need Great Baggi parts and I need more quests for my urgent, so it is not a good time to be a Baggi.
I do not mention it here (I think), but the first Great Baggi we encounter is a gold crown small. Luckily, we took it alive for further investigation.
Anyway, this is intended to be Crimson's tutorial to capture since Okami already knows, and I am packing a stronger bowgun compared to last time to make it more tolerable. Despite how my armor looks, I am still trying to use simpler weapons to not ruin the experience for them, but you can see a fully charged Wyvern Fire still does an immense amount of damage. It almost makes up for the lack of good MP wirebugs.
Anyway, with two ranged attackers, it should be impossible to put anyone to sleep when we're serious as one of us can rouse anyone else. I don't make a deal out of falling asleep myself since I have armor that can endure it, but I am trying to protect the others as we hunt.
Finally, this should be the final quest before Blue has the game as well. From here, I hope the two of us will be in most videos with some of the guys tagging along. Phoenix and Fluff will be joining us later this week, and maybe even some of the others. Time will tell, but we may have enough for 2 hunting parties.

The default thumbnail options for this video were all close ups of a character we haven't seen for awhile. And due to the fact that we haven't seen her for awhile, I opted to give her the spotlight since she may not be making any more appearances until near the end.
In this part, Hal is still stuck in indecision since the risk on this venture is higher than anything he has ever done before, and it is in a field where he is not an expert. However, a pep talk and some information from Eleanor gives him the motivation and direction he needs to return to the moon and start plotting.

The unlock on this one is fairly simple, but it can take some time to set up. We merely need to win in Freedom City with at least 8 unique locations in play. Both Doctor Metropolis and the environment cards count toward this total. The difficult part at times is trying to keep all of them alive.
The strategy here is to bring lots of healing, which is why Lady Liberty and Siren are here (plus I was trying to get Siren's unlock which just won't work for me). Raven can give them another power use, so as long as the cards don't get nuked from full, they can stick around. Star Knight can try to draw some fire to protect the locations, but even she has limits.
If you want to speed this one up a bit, you will want card draws (F6 Tachyon) and additional card plays (Adept), then just burn down the enemy before he has a chance to wreck everything. Since I am trying to mix things up rather than continuously show the same handful of heroes, we are a little less efficient, part of that once again being me trying to unlock Siren.

In the event you do not bring Hanako to full salvation, the Departed gets upset and decides to take out her frustrations on her perceived rival in love. Some scenes afterward change as well when the characters are talking among themselves, which I show here. There are bound to be some more mentions later, but these are the immediate ones.

I hope you didn't think we were finished yet. I opted to record my reading of the Sunshine Agnes stories to see if there were any ties to the Hexen Clan, and I figured I may as well upload it for anyone who wants to hear it themselves. Overall, this largely seems like a fluff piece that may have a very tangential relationship to them. If there is a bigger role for this story, it is in something that has yet to come.

After escaping the Medical Center, we search for civilization in the new Vortex World. First we go to Yoyogi Park, which has been overrun with fairies. You have the choice to part with your Pixie to receive a Magatama, but there is a reward for keeping her near the end of the game. After that, we enter Shibuya, which we'll be returning to later for another Magatama in the mid game, where we can see lingering souls and demons growing accustomed to the new type of existence.

So let me ask, did you learn the game's lesson?
Upon confronting Odio, you get to face an abstract face and upon wrecking the eyes and mouth, the true target comes forward. When you defeat that, you will need to decide whether love can conquer hate. Should you choose that there has been enough death and carnage and choose to leave, Odio will throw one more tantrum, making the characters fight their chapter bosses. I believe the bosses are the same strength that they were back then, but everyone has grown so much since then that they win with ease, even if they are without their team.
In the SNES version, this would be where the game ends, but this new version gives Odio one last hurrah where all seven characters must unite to give Oersted some redemption.
With this, hopefully you can understand why people are so disappointed by the failure to translate Pogo's lone word. Odio (Latin for "I Hate") and the first word being its polar opposite pretty much made the theme of this game. Odio subjects all of them to horrible things, extending the chain of hatred, and each one of them refuses to yield and become like him. Even after confronting the man pulling the strings in each of their eras, they remain firm in their resolve and ultimately, there is nothing Odio can do anymore to any of them. Oersted achieving some redemption here is new, but it does help resolve how everyone can return to their homes.
Gameplay-wise, I think this is one of the better examples of 90s era RPGs. Sadly, the individual narratives are a little lacking since we only get a couple hours for each of them on average, depending on how thorough you want to be in some chapters. Instead, we have to fill in their blanks.
Sadly, if there were to be a sequel to this, it would have been made already. I do not trust modern Square-Enix to be able to deliver on something like this. By some miracle, we got this piece of gaming history, and now the world is able to enjoy it. I think the best way to play it will be the inevitable PC port, but if you can't wait for that, the Switch version is strong on its own.
