Walking by Paseo Montejo in Mérida, Yucatán, México
Paseo De Montejo owes its name to its founder and his son, Francisco De Montejo. It is the main avenue of Mérida, Yucatán and was created in the late 19th and early 20th centuries inspired by the Champs Elysees in Paris.

Today both avenues have undergone major transformations but there are remains and houses that are worth looking at on a walking tour of the main part of the avenue.

Within the route is the Molina montes house that serves as a museum so you can enter and see what the houses of the landowners were like at the beginning of the 20th century.

Paseo De Montejo. A must for all visitors to Mérida.
Welcome to Merida. Welcome to Yucatan. Welcome to Mexico.
