NuTone Intercom Master Stations were available in a White Finish starting in 1984 with the IM3003 and then in 1986 with the IM4006. When the IM3303 was introduced in 1994 the single most popular color was NuTone's Bright White. When the IM4406 was introduced in 1996, Bright White was still the best selling finish. Along with all of these other models was the IM5006 and the IM2003, which were also available in Bright White. The problem with white plastics in consumer products is, they slowly turn yellow over time, especially when they are exposed to sun light. We have an in-house chemical process that will return these models of NuTone Intercom Master Stations to nearly their original color. This process also work with NuTone Remote Intercom Stations, which are throughout your home. This Video shows a "Before & After" of a 1991 NuTone IMA4006WH Master Station, which a customer brought in for repair and re-whitening. Be sure to watch the entire Video - there's a good comparison that shows a very yellowed face plate, compared to the re-whitened face plate , compared to a pristine example of a bright white speaker face plate.
