Cable Length and distance between them: Long cables with 150 to 160mm distance between all peripheral connectors ? In Cable caps: No ? Internal Design / Build Quality: High ? Caps and Fan manufacturers: Chemi-Con and Rubycon, Polymer caps by FPCAP and NIC, Hydraulic Bearing Fan fan with 140mm diameter ? Load Regulation: It is tight at 12V and 5V, satisfactory at 3.3V, and loose at 5VSB. ? Ripple Suppression is good on all rails. ? Transient Response is mediocre on all rails, especially at 12V and 3.3V. ? Hold-up time: The hold-up time is long, and the power ok signal is accurate. ? Inrush currents: Although it doesn't have an NTC thermistor, the inrush currents are low. ? Protection Features: OCP at 12V needs to be set at a lower level since it allows for a very high ripple on this rail, a clear sign that the platform is pushed beyond its capabilities. OCP is set high on the minor rails, too, but we didn't encounter load regulation or ripple problems. Nonetheless, there is no need for such high-power levels at 5V and 3.3V. Despite the lack of an NTC thermistor and relay combo, the PSU seems to have another way of lowering inrush currents, which proved quite effective. ? Average Efficiency: It is satisfactory, but the GF1 850W performs even better here. ? Average PF: The APFC converter is highly effective, delivering high PF readings at all load ranges. ? Average Noise Output: it is high. The fan speed profile should be more relaxed. ? The Overall Performance is good but still not high enough to take the lead from the competition, including Thermaltake's GF1 line. ?? Bottom Line ?? The GF2 ARGB 850 unit's performance is satisfactory, but it needs more work in the transient response section to meet the competition effectively. Moreover, its fan speed profile could be more relaxed. Larger heat sinks would help in this since they could allow for lower fan speeds.
