The first life lesson that society doesn't teach you is self-discipline. Society does not want you to learn this valuable life skill because society wants you to always be distracted. Society keeps you distracted with current events, entertainment, sports, politics, and popular culture.

Second, society doesn't teach you how to manage and grow money. Managing and growing money is one of the most practical skills that everybody needs to know yet society doesn't even touch on the topic. Society does not teach you financial education. Society actively discourages financial education. Passive income will take longer and more back work to make, but then you will have consistent income coming in.

Two main ways to make passive income are by having your own website or a YouTube channel. You can make passive income with a website using affiliate links, ads, or selling your own products or service.

Third, society doesn't want you to focus on yourself. Society tells you that focusing on yourself is selfish Society wants to distract you with entertainment, current event, and the latest trends from fashion to whatever you may follow and wants you to believe that society is something of value. The reality is society keeps on devolving. All the things society wants you to focus on from celebrities to the news are external distractions that distract you from focusing on yourself.

It is not selfish to focus on yourself. You will never learn about your strengths and weaknesses if you don't focus on yourself. Self-interest is natural to people.

When you start to focus on yourself by taking care of your health, managing money, working to grow money and increase your net worth, and improving your relationships with people in your life (friends, family, and professional relationships) you will see yourself improve over time.
