Awesome 1990 Southern Hydraulic Elevator with GAL VP at Catawba County Gov Center (Newton, NC)
This elevator looks so 1970's/1980's! While the cab is basic looking for the time, this is a pretty nice Southern Elevator with Rare GAL VP Fixtures (one of their VR lines), analog indicators, and very bell happy. This elevator runs really well, too! This is easily my favorite elevator from Southern Elevator Co! While their quality is pretty hit or miss, this elevator is a direct bullseye!

Just a Standard Otis S1. I like it but it could use some fixing up in some parts.

This was one of the 3 elevators that works. There is a hidden off 1958 Southern (I wasn't able to see it anywhere here) Elevator and then a 1970 Westbrook Elevatoe with Old GAL Fixtures that have been locked up and disabled since Circa 2014.
This was formerly a Monarch Elevator installed around 1955 or so. As you can see, it has been unfortunately modded, but hey, they at least chose the best fixtures to put in, GAL! Outside Call Panels have Jet II VPMC buttons, but everything else from the main panel to the floor Indicators outside and inside is JetPlus. This definitely is a new-ish mod due to the main panel presentation. The replacement Fixtures minus the Call Panels (which kind of look out of place and just look like Knockoff Schindler HT VR/Adam's VR Fixtures) still keeps the old elevator old charm and this cab is very bell happy too. This is a pretty solid mod, but still as traditions go, I prefer to see what Fixtures this had, which could've been more GAL.

The words "crap" and "Black Button" NEVER go together, but sadly this is one of those times.
This cab is disgusting and crusty. Clearly there is no cleaning that goes on in this cab and it shows. The fact the buttons are in fine condition is very surprising. Next thing is that this cab is TINY! I don't have a fear of tight spaces, but this cab is ridiculous! If you're clusterphobic, I don't recommend riding this cab.
Not only that, this thing runs like shit. Super jolty and unpleasant feeling. Only two other people have filmed this, Floridian Elevators & WI Sirens & Elevators. I can kinda see why. Not only is this cab hidden off from the others, it's not good at all. The fixtures are awesome, but the cab itself is a piece of crap. They need to not only fix up the operations, but give this cab a fresh cab design (NOT A MOD).

This is one of the coolest finds of the January day trip!
We got some former Otis's that were modded by Otis in the Mid 1990's. The buttons are a mix of Series 1 COP's and Regency Call Stations. The 1st Floor Lanterns were also changed. But besides some fixtures and the controllers being changed, these are still somewhat original feeling. All the other floors have the original Otis Arrow Lanterns, some with working bells (as heard in the intro)! These are thrilling to ride, but have very rough and abrupt stops. They also tend to be temperamental and are always on the move as well, which are really my only complaints with these. It would be nice to see these fully original, but these are still really cool!

Despite what I said in the video, I have seen these before at a Parking Garage in Gatlinburg, TN. This is my 2nd pair of these. The first cab doesn’t seem to have working Arrow Lanterns and a Creaky Door and the Chime doesn’t seem to go off either on that when arriving on a floor. The 2nd one works fine for the most part. Both have “Interesting Motors”, but of course the fans ruin it again.

This was a Former Asheville that had basic Adam Survivors Fixtures and was kinda worn, at least from what I saw online by the other guys that filmed this.
This was recently modernized by PTL with Centurion Fixtures, my first time seeing them. I don't know how bad the OG fixtures were condition-wise, but this mod was likely necessary, a rare instance for me! At least they didn't get VR2 (aka that fake MAD BS Classic crap).
This is a rather basic Slap On Mod, and it's already looking crusty. At least the buttons are interesting for a Boring VR button, as they have a unique design unlike most. Also fun fact, first floor had a LONG ass Call Panel. I also think the machinery may have also been replaced as the Motor sounds freshly loud.

Happy 321Lame Day! I curse you with 4 (really 3) Schindler HTs.
These are all outdoor elevators with the same building layout as other random lakeside office buildings. I was expecting 330Lames but got 321Lames instead. While basic cabs, they have loud motors. First cab is middle of the road, second cab doesn't work, third cab looks better cab wise, while the last one has an unhealthy sounding motor.

I don't know why I bothered with these. lol
The second one serves 3 floors while the first one goes up 1 more floor and has "VR" buttons. It is interesting this place has a parking deck below the building, but besides that, these are nothing to write home about

Here is one of my more recent takes! This is a much needed uptake for an unuploaded video I did around November, which was super rushed.
I decided to come back and refilm this weird thing. This was a Former 1955 Otis Black Button that has received a half mod. The Call Panels make you think we're gonna see another Meh Adam's Survivors Mod, but here's where things get unusual. It got modded by Otis with a Series 1 COP. Not only that, it's the THICC Elevonic Series 1 Style, with an ANALOG Indicator! Finding an Elevonic Style Series 1 COP without a Digital Indicator is super rare! I believe this mod was done no later than the Early to Mid 1980's. While you might think this is probably a Elevonic 401M, it's actually running on its original machinery as confirmed by Floridian Elevators video of the machine room here, which means it doesn't run the best sadly. Overall though, this is a Cool and unusual mod.
