Production is HARD! So much work to align that damned iron sights! This was my 2nd time shooting in the Production Division and as you can see, I sucked! I only had one good stage and took 4th place which I was pretty proud of ;)
Anyway, looking forward to getting back to hosing in Open.

It was a fun day with zero rain, which I'm glad for.

Shot only 4 of the 6 stages at the Charity Match that the folks at the Paul Bunyan Rifle club setup this month. Came in 7th overall because I zero-ed two stages as I had to leave early for another appointment that I couldn't avoid.

Here's a quick side by side of my recent shoddy performance compared to Nick who's our local champ. He's a GrandMaster and a very consistent one at that. Look at how much faster he is.

Competition in the Open division is amazing this year. There were so many really good shooters who have developed their skills over the past year, through regular practice and sheer talent and it shows in the final scores.
If you haven't already, I urge you to give Open a try, it is the pinnacle of the sport and a totally different game.
Big thanks to the COSSA team for putting on a fabulous match with fun & challenging stages.

Not super crazy about my shooting today but decent enough I guess. Was pretty fun shooting with a squad full of new shooters. Just glad they came out to shoot, hope they'll continue with the sport.

Gun ran fine, shooter didn't. This was from lack of practice and I know it. Glad that my tendonitis has healed so I can get back to regular dry fire.

Although I came in 5th overall, I am the last of the three Grandmasters. That feels just like being last place in the entire match. That said, Kudos to Ryan and Nick who both have put in so much more work getting where they are, so they deserve to win.
I just need more practice, if I can get any.
Thanks for a fantastic 40 round extravaganza guys! Props to the Custer crew, Matt, Chris, Dan, Floyd, Chaun, Rick, Cyco, Andi, Jim, Jason, Bruce and so many others who made this happen.
