天天平甩功 • Daily Pingshuai Gong Practice (Denny K Miu)
My 88 year old mother has been suffering from insomnia, mainly from her blood pressure medicine. She is my most loyal student, always coming to class before everyone else. But apparently not enough.
So in addition to my daily classes which typically are in the morning, I am starting a new nightly session with her (8:30 pm PST) where we will practice in silence a popular QiGong exercise for 30 minutes to help her sleep and to lower her blood pressure, which is called Ping Shuai Gong (平甩功) meaning Swing Arm Exercise.
For first timer, please search the web for “Ping Shuai Gong”, especially for the Wikipedia page and demonstration videos. Feel free to ask question at the end.

每星期一次、亞洲時間星期六早上十點(舊金山時間星期五晚上六點)、我們有一個90分鐘無宗教信仰的特別課程。前60分鐘我們會坐著做運動、重點在疏通經絡和拍打穴位、剩餘時間會做易筋經或五式吐納。對象由年輕人到老人家、甚至行動不方便的同學。主要是幫助血氣循環、增強腦力和免疫能力、提升新陳代謝的功能。
大家可以同步、也可以隨緣自己照自己時間做、做完希望大家得到精氣神、精精神神。
