Flight attendants put up with some real nonsense. Sometimes underpaid and overworked, they're just trying to do their job! So today we've sourced some opinions from flight attendants who have worked over ten years in the industry. They agreed on 8 Types of Passengers that they absolutely HATE! Here's what they said!
We all love the relaxing feeling of a nice clean hotel room, without knowing everything that goes on in the background. Here are some Hotel Maid’s INSIDE SECRETS!
1. They’re Judging You
While they may be friendly and helpful to your face they’re judging you behind your back, so if you want your room to be properly cleaned, be kind and generous!
2. They meet celebrities
It may come as a surprise but maids don’t savour visits from celebrities, they can be demanding and fussy and even a friendly celebrity requires more than your average guest. Meaning more work for the same wage.
3. Vegas
Hotel staff in Las Vegas have a harder job in general because guests tend to want to party hard and really let themselves go, which can be very messy, (Depending on how much they let themselves go). Its also not uncommon for a guest to check in on a Friday and check out in an ambulance.
4. Cutting corners
Maids tend to be on a tight time scale, having to clean several floors of rooms each shift, so corner-cutting is not uncommon.
Partial vacuuming, not cleaning water glasses, only changing the upper bedding and excessive air freshener are some of these short cuts.
5. Buffet breakfast
Breakfast included maybe sound nice but its generally laid out by the desk staff who have no training in hygiene or food preparation. The coffee jug is normally just rinsed rather than washed and leftovers that can be reused, will be.
6. Touching your stuff
Hotel staff don’t want to touch your stuff but they do have to clean up and therefore anything in the way, has to move. This can lead to mistrust but in general, a maid won’t risk their job for anything you may have left in your room.
7. Cancellation fee loophole
Losing your money because of having to cancel a reservation, can be avoidable. If you first ask nicely to change your reservation to a later date. You can then cancel the reservation a few days later staying within the allowed cancellation deadline.
8. They Know Your Secrets
Maids aren’t stupid, they’ve seen all types of guest and cleaned all types of mess, so you’re not going to fool them. Maids don’t care what you do, as long as you’re respectful, friendly and clean.
9. Profiling
If you are a regular guest at a hotel you probably have a profile and a nickname on their system. This isn’t a bad thing as it will contain your likes and dislikes and personal preferences. If you’re a bad guest it’ll probably warn the staff too.
10. Revenge
If you ARE a bad guest, things, will, be done!!
A little dust in your bed, air freshener sprayed into your water glass. Subtle but effective!
Which secret surprised you the most?

There are endless things to do in Finland but you might want to heed these warnings if you want a smooth trip.
1. Don’t Be Afraid if You See Some Skin
In Finland, the entire society is much less body conscious than in the U.S. Remember this in the omni-present saunas!
2. Don’t Compare Finland to That OTHER Scandinavian Country.
Sweden ruled over Finland for centuries, so Finns really don’t like to compare, and are proud of their independence.
3. Don’t Be Put Off By a Finn’s Outward Demeanor
Finns have a reputation for quietness in general, so don’t be alarmed when you find yourself doing most of the talking. Just because they seem cold, doesn’t mean they aren’t some of the world’s friendliest people.
4. Don’t Interrupt!
It’s important when conversing with the locals to let them finish their thought before you start speaking. Conversation is communicating understanding, not waiting for your chance to talk again.
5. Don’t Be Afraid to Speak Your Mind
Finnish people are known for asking: how are you enjoying Finland? So rather than a courteous; “Oh, it’s incredible,” consider answering truthfully.
6. Don’t Tip Much
Outside tourist areas, most waiters won’t even recognize the act of tipping - they’ll think you made a mistake!

Everybody loves to travel, but lack of funds tends to hold us back.
What if you could travel and earn money at the same time?
Here are 10 ways to make money whilst traveling.
1: Flower, Vegetable or Fruit Picking
Many of the best holiday destinations are close to agricultural areas.
Pay varies depending on country, season and crop but it's not unusual for farmers to offer accommodation during the season thus saving on boarding costs too.
2: Rent Out Your Car
If you're going away and leaving your car why not rent it out?
Using Turo you can rent out your car, set a minimum price per trip, have a full tank of gas when you return and its insured up to 1 million dollars and for fire and theft.
Its also totally free to list it!
3: Rent Out Your House!
If you're not using your car you probably don't need your house either, so why not rent it out too? With airbnb you're also insured up to 1 million dollars so you wont need to worry while you're away.
4: Work in Bars and Restaurants
When travelling to tourist locations in season, bars and restaurants often require additional help. This work will probably be evening work, leaving you free in the daytime to explore.
If you don't have a work permit you will probably be paid “Under the table!”
5: House Sitting
Maybe you just want to travel and don't care where. By using Mindmyhouse or Trustedhousesitters you can search for people who want someone to keep on eye on their house and land yourself some free accommodation.
6: Hostels
Not only a cheap place to stay but also a great place to network with other travellers. you can also inquire after work as they always need someone on the desk or cleaners, it may not pay much but your accommodation will be free.
7: Flight Attendant
Yes its an obvious one but still good. If you enjoy travelling, international flights usually involve a stay over in which you can explore your destination. You’ll need a good level of English and customer care and you’ll have to study as competition will be tough.
8: Construction Work
If you don’t mind a bit of hard labour you can ask around construction sites if they have any day work. You’ll probably be off the books so be sure that your insurance covers you in case of an accident.
9: Cruise Ships
An ideal way to travel and work at the same time. While you're sailing you’ll be working but once you dock you’ll be able to explore the destinations. The most likely areas are the Caribbean and the Mediterranean so that's not bad either!
10: Translator or Teacher
If you know more than one language you can get a job as a translator or language teacher, the only drawback of this being you’ll have to learn a country’s language before you go!
Have you ever worked whilst traveling?

George W. Bush called it the “axis of evil” and Condoleeza Rice referred to it as an “outpost of tyranny.” Cut off from the internet and with many horrible human rights violations we bring you 12 crazy things you never knew about North Korea.
1. Weed Is Legal There
There's no law against the sale or consumption of "leaf tobacco" in North Korea. Cannabis grows freely by the roadside throughout the country and is particularly popular with young soldiers who prefer it over local cigarettes.
2. Hairstyles Are Restricted
Women are supposed to emulate the basic bob worn by the Supreme Leader’s wife. Men are forbidden to exceed 2cm in length, and are encouraged to copy Kim Jong-un’s ‘do. Offenders may be shewn on the spot by scissor-wielding authorities.
3. They Have Their Own Calendar
It’s not 2016 in North Korea. It’s 105. Their Juche calendar started the count anew based on Kim Il-sung’s birth date in 1912.
4. The “Three Generations of Punishment” Rule
Someone who violates the law isn’t just punished – their entire family is, too. Knowing you’ll be sending grandma to the slammer and your kid to a prison work camp might make you think twice about doing a bad deed.
5. Porn Is Prohibited
There are reports saying some offenders have been executed for this offense. Most North Koreans have no access to the Internet but often share films and music on USB sticks.
6. There's a North Korean Version of Godzilla
Kim Jong-Il was a big movie buff so he kidnapped South Korean director Shin Sang-ok and forced him to churn out a few films, including a propaganda-filled North Korean version of Godzilla.
7. Kim Jong-un is much like Lord Bolton
When Kim Jong-un suspected his uncle Jang-Song Thaek of attempting to overthrow the state in 2012, he supposedly had him stripped naked and fed to 120 hungry hounds that hadn’t been fed for several days.
8. North Korea Holds Farcical Elections Every 5 Years
There’s only ever one name on the ballot but citizens are permitted to veto said candidate by publicly crossing the name out - of course at the risk of three generations of punishment.
9. North Korea Has a 100% Literacy Rate
That's better than America’s functional literacy rate is 85%. They take education seriously there, which includes a three-year course on the history of Kim Jong-un, in addition to a 160-hour course on Kim Il Sung and 148 hours on Kim Jong Il. The indoctrination starts in kindergarten - or should we call that Kim-dergarten.
10. North Koreans Are 2 Inches Shorter Than South Koreans
This is attributed to the relative poverty of the northern nation. It is said that 6 million citizens don’t get sufficient food and a third of the children have chronic malnutrition.
11. North Korea Is the Most Corrupt Country in th

This is what we all wonder when we're about to take a flight, and Airhelp has ranked it for all of us... The worst airlines in the world!
You can find this whole list in its website, and it's based on on-time performance, quality of service and claim processing. Let's have a look.
1) Jet Airways.
This Indian airline it's not so bad. It scored 6,20/10 points. Sure, it could have been worse but, it has very good quality and claim processing. However, it should improve its on-time performance cause it's quite low.
2) Aerolineas Argentinas
This famous airline equals the score of the former one, with a 6,20 over 10 we could say again that it's not so bad. However it has a terrible mark in claim processing that should fix as soon as possible.
3) Iberia
The National Spanish airlines have some really good marks at on-time performance with an 8,4. But they have a terribly low score on claim processing that should be take into account if they don't want to get lower in this ranking.
4) Korean Air
This is the South Korean airline, which as well as the Spanish one, has the same score of 6,13 over 10, and also shares the same problems in claim processing that give it this lower position.
5) Ryanair
This Worldwide known Irish airline has achieved 6,03 over 10 points, with its higher score on on-time performance and lower ones, guess where, on quality and claim processing. But i must say, i'm really impressed with its ranking...
6) Air Mauritius
Ok, now we're talking. These airlines barely passed the test. They scored 5,99 over 10 points. The thing is that they really have very good marks on their quality of service. However the rest leaves too much to be desired.
7) Easyjet
The cousin airlines of Ryanair don't seem to go much higher in this list. They scored 5,66 over 10 points. They have an excellent 8 on quality of service and a crashing 1,31 on claim processing. I wonder why is that...
8) Pakistan International Airlines
These airlines have very similar scores in all their aspects. Which translates in poor on-time performance, poor quality service and poor claim processing. As a result 5,43 over 10 points.
9) Royal Jordanian Airlines
These airlines don't really have a bad score on on-time performance, however they don't even achieve 1 point for claim processing and their quality is not so good either, that's the reason for their score of 5,13 and awful overall ranking.
10) Wow Air
Ok... with that name, what could you expect? This is by far the worst airline in the whole world ranked in 2018. This Icelandic company got a painful score of 5,04/10. According to this list its worst aspects were quality and claim processing. Don't say we didn't warn you?
Did you expect these airlines to be worst in the world?

Most people think the countries of the World are either developed and civilised or undeveloped and uncivilized and that America is the former. Although it seems that the truth may not be quite that black and white. America is a very young country in terms of civilization and has grown very big, very quickly. Such rapid growth means that although some areas are highly developed, ultra-modern urbanizations others have become abandoned and lawless.
The U.S.A is a huge country with over 300 million people, its police force, however, isn't as big, around 250 police officers per 100,000 people, Russia has over 500, more than double.
Therefore the majority of America's police force is concentrated in the more heavily populated areas while lesser populated areas have little or no police presence.
While the police struggle to keep more densely populated "safe" areas, safe, the lesser populated areas become more and more abandoned.
Homeless encampments or "Tent Cities" exist on the outskirts of a lot of major cities and the police force lacks the manpower to police them properly, having to rely on the occasional raid to enforce some sort of control.
The further afield you go, the less police authority there is.
In the Sonoran Desert, in Imperial County, California is an old abandoned Marine Corps training camp that was torn down leaving only the concrete slabs on the floor, this gave the place its nickname "Slab city" or simply "The Slabs".
At the entrance to "The slabs" is a Man-made mountain that was literally built by one man. It's made up of cement, dirt, adobe, and hay bales and covered in approximately 200,000 gallons of latex paint. All over the mountain, it's creator "Leonard" had written numerous messages of salvation which give the mountain its name, "Salvation Mountain" it took Leonard 28 years to build and has now become a well-known landmark and tourist attraction.
Since the 1950s, Drifters have been setting up camps in "The Slabs" and today The Slabs actually has a structure to it. Streets have names, there's a small library, a skate park, and even a hostel.
Slab City is home to a squatter community that rejects the modern city lifestyle and claims to be the "Last Free Place". It's composed of over a dozen different neighborhoods, each neighborhood consists of a small camp of people with their own culture and rules.
One of these neighborhoods is called California Ponderosa and is led by a man called Spyder and his family. Spyder has lived in the slabs for 10 years, starting with nothing and using wooden pallets, tarps, sheet metal, plywood, and other scavenged materials he has slowly built an outdoor living room, a Bar, a kitchen and an Outhouse with outdoor shower. Spyder charges people $125 a month to stay in his camp, visitors have use o

Amusement parks, forgotten train stations, aborted housing projects and underwater cities range from hauntingly beautiful to downright creepy.
Here are nine Eerie Abandoned Places That Will Creep You out!
Maunsell Sea Forts, UK
Built during world war two and used as armed lookout towers. One fort off the coast of Suffolk was declared the Principality of Sealand by the Bates family in 1967. It’s not officially recognized as a sovereign state, but you can purchase a Lord, Baron or Count title from there if you’d like.
Mirny Diamond Mine, Russia
Almost a mile wide and visible from space, this Siberian open-pit mine was built in the Stalin era to supply the Soviet Union with industrial diamonds. Digging began in 1955, creating the second largest man-made hole in the world. The mine closed in the 2000s.
Hotel del Salto, Colombia
Said to be haunted by ghosts of former patrons who fell to their death, this cliffside “Mansion of Tequendama Falls” was built in the 1920s and was once an elegant hotel for wealthy tourists. However, the Bogotá river was found to be contaminated so the place closed down.
Manteno State Mental Hospital, USA
This Illinois psychiatric facility was built in 1927, and once housed over 8000 patients. A lot of experimental shock treatment and lobotomies took place here over the years. Allegations of secret medical testing by the military are also part of Manteno’s macabre legacy. It closed its doors in 1985.
Gulliver’s Kingdom, Japan
In the 1990s someone thought building a Gulliver’s Travels theme park at the foot of Mount Fuji would draw the crowds. Despite plenty of government support, the project failed after only a few years. The ill-advised theme park closed in 2001 and was demolished in 2007.
Pripyat, Ukraine
After the Chernobyl nuclear disaster irradiated the vicinity back in 1986, it remains untouched since the fateful incident and is now open to brave tourists who want to explore this post-apocalyptic ghost town.
Orpheum Theater, USA
The former Majestic Opera House was a vaudeville theatre and movie house in New Bedford, Massachusetts. It opened in April 15, 1912 (the same day the Titanic sank) but closed down in 1958.
Canfranc Rail Station, Spain
This was once an elegant Art Nouveau train station in the Pyrenees between France and Spain. After a derailment accident in 1970, the station closed down. However, deep underground, it now serves as a secret laboratory conducting research on dark matter.
Shi Cheng Underwater City, China
40 meters under Qiandao Lake is China’s very own “Atlantis of the East”. The preserved stone structures are like a time capsule dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties, which ruled from 1368 to 1912.
