David Miller is Professor of Political Sociology at the University of Bristol. We talk about the 2020 Riots, Covid-19, Dominic Cummings, Laura Kuenssberg, Sky News journalist Alistair Bunkall. Propaganda and media trust over the last 40 years.

Prof David Miller is an investigative researcher interested in concentrations of power in society and how they might be democratised and made accountable. He works on corporate and state power and how they are (re)produced in particular through policy and expert processes and via social movements from both above and below. Recent work has focused on terrorism and counter terrorism, the sociology of expertise, lobbying, public relations and propaganda.
David is a director of Public Interest Investigations a non profit company of which Spinwatch and Powerbase are projects; a director of the non-profit Organisation for Propaganda Studies; and a member of the Working Group on Syria, Propaganda and the Media.
