Say Hello to RPG Maker MVZ | MZ Project file in MV Project (FPS Improvement! MV Plugins Working!)
00:00 - Playtest in MV's Editor
02:57 - Playtest in MZ's Editor

This video is recorded at 28 fps. So focus on the stability, smoothness and the FPS count on screen, between the two versions.

MV Version: 1.5.1
MZ Version: 1.0.1

All you do is place an MZ project file (the game.rmmzproject file) in your MV project. And run it. (With MZ installed, of course.)
That's it.

I got this info from Echo607's video: (do check it out!)
https://youtu.be/kkofRco0-Bg

To further clarify, there are two methods of transfering your project from MV to MZ:

1- You create a blank MZ project, and then copy your MV files into it. (This method can break your MV plugins.)

2- You create a blank MZ project, and copy its game.rmmzproject file (only one file) into your MV project folder, and run it. (This allows you to use MZ's editor with map layers, all MV plugins, with overall better performance.)

The second method is what I'm using here in this video. This is NOT technically a 'transfer'. It's just a better running MV, with two editors that you can switch between.
You can't use new MZ plugins in this. And some MZ functions won't work. (Like the in-game menu. That will be the same as MV.)
So this is not completely MV, or completely MZ. This is... RPG Maker MVZ!

This method is for only MV users who cannot fully transfer or switch to MZ. Or who want to stick with MV, because of its large library plugins.

----- SOME CONCERNS:

1- MZ does not have manual plugin command input.

This is not an issue! If you have one MV plugin command placed anywhere in any event, you can just copy-paste it, press 'space' on it, and enter any plugin command manually.

2- MZ has a different animation system.

NOT AN ISSUE! If you have one MV animation command placed anywhere in an event, you can copy paste it, and press 'space' on it to open the animation event menu to edit and change it.

For adding animations to database, you can add them in by opening your game in the MV editor. (With the MV project file instead of MZ's. You can switch between them whenever)

3- Why the better performance?
The better performance is said to be because of the updated nwjs from MZ. (If you manually updated the nwjs in MV, then you won't notice a performance boost.)

P.S, It wasn't me who came up with the name RPG Maker MVZ. Someone else did. :D
