Here's the drive down from the Remarkables road, a 13.2 km long road that connects State Highway 6 to the Remarkables ski resort, at 1,622 m / 5,321 ft above sea level. The road is one of the highest and most dangerous in New Zealand, and also very beautiful since the highest portions of the road are above the clouds. Queenstown Airport is also visible about 2/3rds down the way below the clouds. During more extreme winter weather tire chains are needed, especially on two-wheel drive vehicles.
Here is my first ride on the Toronto Transit Commission's newest Nova Bus LFS in the new livery, on 43A Kennedy, an Eglinton Division route. This was filmed from Kennedy Station to Passmore Ave., almost to the end of the route. Note that this is not a video of a complete route, it shows mainly the major points and intersections that the route pass through, as well as a glimpse of the new unique rear seating arrangement.
This bus is part of a 97-unit order for 2017 (8620-8716), and 245 more (8720-8964) will be delivered in 2017-18; some of these will be produced in Plattsburgh, NY as the Saint-Eustache facility is at full capacity.

Welcome to my first ride on the British Rail Class 345 on the future Crossrail / Elizabeth Line, currently branded as TfL Rail. As I had to meet up a friend later in the day at Ebbsfleet, I did not have much time to film, so we'll be doing a short trip from Liverpool Street to Stratford.
Initially 7 cars long, these will be expanded to 9 cars when the central tunnel opens in December 2018 while also dependent on the platform extensions in the existing stations. Liverpool Street and Paddington will also be moved into the new tunnel, and to differentiate this, the current platforms are referred to as "main line stations". TfL Rail in its current form is basically a rebranded Overground service, and there are still quite a few class 315s that are in the Overground livery. In the beginning of the video a Class 315 in the TfL Rail livery is also seen departing Liverpool Street, and these trains will be removed from this service as more Class 345s phase in.
These trains are built by Bombardier at Derby, England, and are branded as Aventra. Similar trains are also built for other services and classed as 710 for the London Overground (2 doors per side), 720 for Greater Anglia, 701 for South Western Railway, TBD for West Midlands Trains, and 711 for c2c. For the Elizabeth Line, there are some cars with only bench seating, and other cars have transverse seating as well.

Finally got the chance to ride the new western metro extension in Helsinki! A metro extension I had long wanted to ride since my previous visit to Helsinki, it was opened on 18 November 2017 after more than a year of delays. Every station features different architecture that is very well designed and really beautiful.
These stations, unlike those on the rest of the system, can only fit 4-car trains (instead of 6 cars) since the new automated signalling system has the capability to increase the frequency and capacity of the metro.
This ride is divided into two parts - first from Ruoholahti to Tapiola on M2 (M300 set 312) then Tapiola to Matinkylä on M1 (M200 set 209-210+223-224).

Welcome to my latest video! Here's the inaugural landing of Qatar Airways' Airbus A350-900 in Montreal! Qatar has been the launch customer for the A350 when it entered service back in 2015, and as such, features the latest cabin products, including QSuite, and an entirely new economy class. Despite being the launch customer, we've been waiting for over 5 years for Qatar's A350 to come to Montreal; the airline previously used the much disliked Boeing 777-300ER on this route which unfortunately features outdated business class, and 10 abreast economy class with ultra-narrow seats. Last year, Lufthansa was the first airline to send the A350 to Montreal from Munich which I have also filmed, but that route has been cancelled in light of the current situation.
With the travel bans in place because of COVID-19 including the ban on foreign citizens for many countries including Canada and Qatar, while not mentioned publicly, this is likely to be a repatriation flight as well, sending Canadian citizens back home on this flight, and sending Qatari citizens back home on the outbound flight, which departs at 9 pm tonight, which I will not film.

Here is Réseau de transport de la Capitale 1513, a Nova Bus LFS HEV on route 21 Place d'Youville. As I found that my previous video of the RTC hybrid was too shaky, I decided to film it again, and also because it is now in the summer the windows are more clear and free from the snow outside. The A/C was good, but was not quite even and was a little hot in the back near the engine, so I thought this was a point where it could be improved.

Welcome onboard the Air Canada Airbus A321 from Calgary to Vancouver! In October 2022, I flew to Calgary for the first time to be a delegate to the Western Jack Summit, a mental health summit in a new format organized by jack.org, Canada's leading charity to revolutionize mental health. We had a great time meeting new people as well as hearing keynote speakers and panelists. We left the event with a brighter mood.
Our return flight was quite eventful. Our original aircraft had a technical problem and so another aircraft was brought in which meant a 3 hour delay, but we didn't have any connections afterwards so we were fine. It turns out that Air Canada rebooked the majority of people onto other flights (mainly those with connections) and so the result is a nearly empty flight, with both myself and my close friend both getting the whole row to ourselves. Being a short one hour flight, the Air Canada Bistro menu wasn't available, though there is a snack and drink service. We had a very nice crew onboard, and although most of the flight was cloudy, I enjoyed this experience very much. Everything in the aircraft felt very familiar considering my three years of experience of flying Toliss Airbus A319/A321 aircraft on the X-Plane 11 flight simulator.

My first ride on an Airbus A320neo, here's AirAsia 9M-NEO on flight AK139 from Hong Kong to Kuala Lumpur. This is also my first time visiting Malaysia, and stayed until June 3 and also visited Ipoh and and the picturesque countryside as well.
The Airbus A320neo is the newest and best selling single-aisle aircraft family of Airbus Industrie, having gained over 5000 orders as of June 2017. It features new engines with a choice of the CFM LEAP-1A and PW1000G which feature at least a 15% fuel use reduction and half the noise generated compared to the old engines; a rearranged cabin in the form of SpaceFlex (and also Cabin Flex for A321) means over 20% less fuel per passenger. AirAsia has selected the CFM LEAP-1A for their A320 and A321neo aircraft. 9M-NEO also features a special livery promoting their first A320neo aircraft, however I was unable to get the full livery on the side since the departure and arrival gates for this flight meant rather poor angles to photograph this aircraft.
Overall an excellent flight with a good crew and good service! Really enjoyed those new engines and the awesome scenery outside! My one and only complaint is that AirAsia should have taken deliveries of the A320neo more quickly (still only 3 aircraft since Sept. 2016 and no deliveries between Nov. 2016 and now). More A320neo aircraft means more routes can be served with it and using less fuel means lower air fares! Also the food was a little lacking considering it costed HKD$20 (MYR 10 or CAD$3.50). The coffee was free and actually tasted quite well.
Stay tuned as I will also be uploading the return flight on 9M-AGA and a few public transit videos in KL!
