Starting up the Fraser here. Lots of Debris in the water. Pretty sure we just passed or are passing our friend Graham who built the Catamaran Jazz. Actually he has way more of the bigger type of battery cells 700amp hour Winston Cells and an obscene amount of them like close to 80 kw/h worth. He insists on a sail and well so far as I am concerned each to their own. I know what works and works well and demonstrate that here. Graham damaged his mast or something when he got caught up in some kind of washing machine currents out around Victoria. Feels bad for the guy. Still though an awesome boat - overly complex yes but again each to their own.

Still battling the Fraser River current as we head up river to Pitt Lake. We decide to put more power to the outboards and take the outside route up the Fraser towards the one bridge. Slow going and we are probably wasting power at this point fighting the current of probably five knots against but whatever. We have torque and plenty off it. We can actually hold position with nine knots against if need be.
