Episode 266 - Decoding institutional speak in the news & why the banks are getting nervous over DeFi
In this episode I look back at an interview I listened to on my way home from work yesterday. It was a really interesting interview, however, I find at times as a complete financial ignoramus, I had a hard time understanding what the heck they were talking about at times. I find this happens quite a bit when it comes to listening or reading about institutional financial news or products. I am so unqualified, out of the loop, and uneducated in that realm, that it takes some research and mental gymnastics to even understand what they are saying, much less come up with any time of feedback. So, this is my attempt to try to explain what is going on in my layman's words.
Good morning cryptoheads! It's Monday and the week is beginning with a stalemate. An apparent Bitcoin ETF stalemate as the world waits to see what will happen with, and who will get approved for the Bitcoin ETF.
I also talk about how to get into crypto and how to decide what type of cryptohead you will be. Just be yourself!

Good morning! This morning I start out with a little look at a great tweet explaining the current situation with the Quant Network's upcoming supply shock. Then I go into some of the introductory concepts of IPFS and Filecoin. I am really excited about IPFS and FIlecoin and have alot of work to do to in that rabbit hole. I will report back to you the cool stuff I know I am going to find!

Good morning! With the market down, I have seen less hype about trading and more attention being drawn to development and the transitioning of companies and communities to becoming DAOs (decentralized autonomous organizations). I go a little more in depth here in how DAO's are made. I could still go way deeper as there is so much more to cover, but this would take many more episodes. In this episode I touch on Aragon and Alchemy by DAO Stack as tools to form a DAO.

Good morning! Yesterday I attempted to comprehend the impossibility trinity of stablecoins and how it relates to central banks vs private banks. I hoped it would lead me to a better foundation to understand RAI and non-pegged stablecoins as a candidate for a practical universal coin that would avoid the Triffin Dilemma. I go into these concepts here. Tomorrow, I will go into the practical use and some of the things Reflexer.Finance can do.

Good morning! I have been asked a few times to cover the Helium Network. I first heard about it this time last year, and I honestly did not think much of it. Since then, I have heard about it from several different angles and none of it has been negative. No here is my look at the Helium Network. It is not a new way to connect your phone or laptop. It is straight up information gathering of everyday life...everywhere. I think Fetch.ai and Helium Network have alot in common.

Good morning! This morning I get a little technical and try to understand what EVM is, and then how WASM is the next step in the evolution of a decentralized virtual machine. Just when I begin to understand some of the basics of Ethereum, here they go already kicking it up another notch! I also talk about some of the super fundamentals like what is a compiler, what is Turing complete, etc... Many of us have not had the chance to sit in classes that talked about this. Anyway, I hope you enjoy my terribly loose style and way of trying to externalize this stuff.

Good morning! In this episode I tend to go all over the place. I begin with Cryptopunks, and the whole NFT craze and compared it with the DeFi food craze of last summer.
Then I talk about Janet Yellen and what being dovish with monetary policy means. I give a little more detail about the recent crypto regulations that she shoved in the infrastructure spending bill.
Then I talk about organizational structure done using blockchain and smart contracts instead of the top down management structure that we have. This led me to talk about the jab and how some of the assumptions of a "post-jab world" will lead to this almost utopian vision proposed by some of these people in theseprojects.

Good morning! This morning I start with my usual banter and talk about whale movement going on in the land of Shiba Inu. Then I shift the focus to an article written by fellow anon Bankless DAO member Frogmonkee. He outlines the ideal development of DAO capital flows as decentralized economic engines rather than the bottlenecked flows that are currently commonly found in DAOs through grants committees. Overall, it is a well written article and I learned alot through it.

Good morning weirdos! In this video I dig into some of the very constructive criticism and comments I received on my Hedera Hashgraph video yesterday. I really appreciate all the feedback! It is helping me grow as a crypto researcher and commentator.
Then I get into some of the Bitcoin whale movements.
Then finish it out with an article covering AI tech and the big giants controlling it all.
