The question for today is how well does Dead Island hold up on Linux in 2020? Well as always the question of whether or not it is worth it, is pretty subjective. However, we will be playing it on Arch Linux and with an ultra-wide monitor. So you can see how well it plays and determine if it makes since for you. So we're talking about the words that the FSF think you should avoid. I have my opinion on the matter and hope that my opinion on it doesn't upset you. That's not the point of the video. Only to share that I think that some words are confusing and others aren't.
I think the FSF just wants people to watch the way they speak to ensure no one is easily confused. I support the notion, just it's a slippery slope..

Just wanted to post this to shed some light on this weird little bug in the Olive video editor. I have been using Olive to edit my videos here recently and honestly it's been amazing. I stumbled across this bug and couldn't find anyone else talking about it online. So hopefully this gets it resolved eventually as well as for those of you experiencing it now and need a quick fix..
Just save your project, close Olive, then reopen and launch your project. Just like that it's fixed. Until it decides to do it again. Then just rinse and repeat. Unfortunetly this seems to be the only fix atm until it's fixed.

In the last stream we were stopped by the game crashing in the S.T.A.R.S office, but that has now been fixed with a new version of GloriousEggroll's Proton build. Which you can now refer to the protondb.com page for a step by step tutorial. This is why I believe Windows is a truly dying platform. Every day there becomes less of a reason people are forced to use it. The gaming community over here on Linux is insane!

I haven't been using a dedicated image viewer for quite some time now. Even when I do have them installed I end up opening most images in GIMP. I wanted to know how many of you do the same thing? To me it seems like it just saves time, as I may want to edit the photo after looking at it anyway.
