Hello! Our fourth installment of our shade house build and It's Fridays Daily Vlog, our 11th daily episode. A shade house is a gazebo like structure with the primary aim to give us shade from the sun, keep the rain out, but more importantly to also collect 4000 liters of rainwater. In part 4 we look at rain water catchment using four IBC to collect 4000 liters of rainwater. We are now the proud owners of a stunning off grid property in Portugal, Lobateira, which we've renamed 'The Wild Lands'. We've been searching for our own slice of heaven to start a homestead. We decided to base our search around the Castelo Branco region of Portugal, as the land here is not only beautiful, but far cheaper than the Algarve. Hello! And welcome to 3rd episode in our new Portugal series as we apply for the Portuguese D7 Passive Income Visa also known as the National Visa. In today's episode we take the train up to London to finally make the actual application at VFS Global for our D7 or National Portuguese visa. WE nearly weren't allowed to attend the appointment DOH! We've been 'stuck' in the UK (again) since returning to see loved ones over Christmas with COVID-19 border restrictions further protracted by Brexit! Not only does the D7 Visa allow us to resume travel (correct at the time of posting), but we can effectively bypass most of the Brexit travel restrictions, including the 90/180 Schengen max days in the EU/Schengen Zone.
