Well, as they say, you only live once so make it a fun ride. It does seem to me that Harley Davidson is sure keen to get people onto their bikes in the hope that we'll buy them. Alas, unless they can find finance for retiree's, I'll have to wait until I win the lottery before I can get one. It is one of the little gripes I have given that I had a perfect credit rating before I left Australia. Oh well, it's their loss and I already have my bike which is just as much or even more fun to ride. The main reason for the ride out here today was that I have not been to this Panda Rider store before. It certainly beats riding into the city to their main store that's for certain. I did find an item there which I need to get for Chanya's bike. She wants to mount her phone for GPS navigation but you really need to power them as the phone will suck a lot of battery without external power. This requires some sort of USB power source and they had a few on display. A common theme with these cafes is a water feature which seems to grab her attention. It does create a feeling of tranquillity if there is running water that's for sure. The food was great and plentiful for the price but my main dish was a bit on the spicy side. We then went to check out our new house and pay the monthly instalment. We finished out the run around at BigC Phetkasem where I had to update my bank details with my new passport details. Jay, Jane and I made our way across to the Dark Side event that I saw promoted on my Facebook feed and it certainly was a completely different event to the Triumph one. Music, food and sexy young girls all over the place and the party atmosphere was electric. Yes, we did get to ride the MT07 and the MT09 Yamaha sports bikes and they really felt good on the demo track. Alas, you will never really feel their full capability on a short track like that but at least it was a bit of fun. I'm still not convinced that these test rides will persuade me to sell my Vulcan cruiser, but it is good to see what other people are riding. I was also quite surprised to bump into Rose who is a facebook friend. We've chatted a little over the past year and catch the occasional post with her and her boyfriend doing their stunt riding. It's great to actually see it up close with that burning rubber smell. Thank god I'm not the one paying for the tires! Those stunt bikes cost over 3 million a piece!
