From Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Hairston was 3 years old when he made his debut as a singer. "My father had asked Curtis to get up in church and sing," said Shirley H. Holloway, Hairston's mother. "He walked up there, reached up and grabbed that microphone like it belonged to him."
His cool, satin-smooth delivery often favorably compared to that of Luther Vandross, Peabo Bryson and the late Billy Eckstine made Hairston the toast of the New York club scene.
He died from diabetes related kidney failure at the age of just 34 years old.

Chris Isaak is an American musician and occasional actor born on June 26, 1956 in Stockton, California, USA. Isaak signed a contract to Warner Bros. Records in 1984 for his first album "Silvertone". The tracks "Gone Ridin'" and "Livin' for Your Lover" from this album were featured in David Lynch's movie, "Blue Velvet". Isaak's second album (self-titled) came out in 1987.
One of Isaak's most known songs is "Wicked Game", which is from his third album "Heart Shaped World" (1989). It became a national top 10 hit in February 1991, after it was featured in another Lynch film, "Wild at Heart". In 1999, Isaak's "Baby Did a Bad, Bad Thing" was featured in Stanley Kubrick's final film, "Eyes Wide Shut". The song is from his 1995 album "Forever Blue".
Isaak has also appeared in numerous films, mostly playing minor cameo roles, though he starred in the 1993 Bernardo Bertolucci-directed Little Buddha, and also played a major role in David Lynch's Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me. In 2001, Isaak starred in his own television show, The Chris Isaak Show. It aired from March 2001 to March 2004 in the United States on the cable television network Showtime.

British synthpop duo: Annie Lennox (b. December 25, 1954, Aberdeen, UK) and David A. Stewart (b. September 9, 1952, Sunderland, UK).
They first recorded together as members of new wave band The Catch (2) who would change their name to The Tourists and enjoy two UK top ten hits in early 1980, but disband before the year was out. In 1981, Lennox and Stewart made their debut as Eurythmics, though they struggled to gain recognition at first, only breaking through with their sixth single "Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)". This was the turning point of their career. They continued to be one of the leading synth groups throughout the eighties. After a long period of solo activities in the early and mid-90s Eurythmics re-united for one album and charity world tour in 1999 and in 2004 for the release of extended, remastered and repacked editions of their previous albums and a second hits compilation. Eurythmics released one song (b-side of "Put A Little Love In Your Heart" by Annie Lennox & Al Green) under the alias "The Spheres Of Celestial Influence", a name considered before naming themselves Eurythmics.
